The award-winning designers and landscape artists at Peters Professional Landscaping have been creating luxurious and inspired outdoor spaces for decades.

If you can dream it, they can do it.

This family-run, full-service company has been passionately serving Northeast Ohio since 1992.

Peters builds posh paver patios, ponds and water features, hot tubs, fire pits, fireplaces, outdoor lighting, outdoor kitchens, grills, pizza ovens, gazebos, pavilions and pergolas. Several years ago, to answer customer demand, the team began installing lavish, low-maintenance fiberglass pools.

Tying everything together, the firm is adept at designing landscape beds. The designers dabble in dazzling flower beds, staggering intermittent bloom cycles for yards that look stunning spring, summer and fall. Unusual combinations and creativity are what really sets it apart from other landscape firms. Each finished yard is its own work of art and reflective of the homeowner.

“A trend we’re seeing is homeowners wanting more life from their outdoor oases, so they’re wanting designs with sophisticated lighting and heating elements,” owner Chris Peters says.

“We’ve done thousands of jobs and no two are alike. We help guide people, knowing what works and what won’t.”

He adds they are sensitive to people’s budgets when it comes to hardscapes, too.

“We can design a new patio and implement phases of it over a few years if that works best,” he says. “It’s good to start with a cohesive master plan in place for the best outcomes.”

This Dip is Calling Your Name

A backyard pool can add value to your home and elevate your back yard to resort-worthy status.

“We can customize any pool to fit the taste, lifestyle and desires of the homeowner,” says Chris, noting they’ve created poolscapes all over the West Side.

What’s trending in Cleveland?

“Homeowners are opting for pools that will grow with their family, a space that’ll fit their children and their friends, then still be a nice fit when the kids move away, and the parents want to entertain more,” he says.

In terms of design, the sky’s the limit. “We make the pool match the owner, adding custom features like cascading multilevel configurations, sunken spillover spas and built-in benches within the pool.”

And for the person who has everything, why not add a tiki bar or two to the surrounding poolscape? Peters does those, too. Chris says they are booking design consultations now so you will be the envy of all your neighbors this summer.

Time to Mulch

“Mulching is one of those backbreaking lawn jobs that’s best left in the hands of a professional,” says Chris. “Our high-tech trucks and blowers create a perfectly even surface, and the quality and selection of our mulch is better than you’ll find at other places.”

He explains mulch is more than just good-looking. Since the high-end material Peters carries slow-releases nutrients, beneficial bacteria and microorganisms that enrich the soil, it’s a smart way to care for your landscaping and ensure its long life.

Based in Medina, Peters Professional Landscaping is located at 7080 Wooster Pike. Peters Nursery and Greenhouse division offers all the plant materials needed for your yard, located at 6156 Wooster Pike. Working with the Best

When Chris Peters founded Peters Professional Landscaping back in 1992, he set the standard of quality high in terms of the materials he chose for hardscaping, to the stock brought in for landscaping, to the caliber of workmanship.

“When creating an outdoor oasis, it begins with laying the right patio to fit the homeowner’s lifestyle and complement the home’s design,” says Chris. “Since the beginning, we’ve been an authorized contractor for Unilock pavers because they are the best in terms of esthetics, durability and construction. They open up a world of design options, from classic to modern. And when it comes to Northeast Ohio’s tendency to freeze and thaw quickly and often, it’s the only brand I trust to go the distance. They weather winter beautifully year after year. They come with a lifetime warranty for good reason.”

He adds that it’s particularly heartbreaking to see newer construction homes cut corners by opting for stamped concrete, which fades and cracks. It also looks incongruous to put a stamped concrete patio on a high-end home.

When it comes to flower, plants, shrubs and trees, there’s also a big difference in good, better, best.

“We bring in stock grown in Ohio, so it’s acclimated to this zone,” he says. “It’s been nurtured on family farms and grown in the best-quality soil for long life.

And for the caliber of his employees, Chris has always hired the best local talent available, both in honoring craftsmanship and being personable with clients.
