Employing modern advancements in minimally invasive procedures, local podiatrist Dr. William Tenney, founder of Lake Foot Care Center in Mentor, wants you to say goodbye to sore feet.
“Patients are constantly telling me that if they had known how easily and quickly their painful feet could have been helped right in the office, they would have sought treatment years ago,” he says. “We want our patients to get better and not have to keep coming back for the same foot problem over and over again.”
One of the most common foot problems Dr. Tenney treats is hammertoes or curled toes.
Traditionally, the course of treatment involved surgically removing part of the bone and inserting a pin into the toe. Recovery was prolonged and painful. Dr. Tenney uses a more modern approach—the MIS technique—which is performed in his office, under local anesthesia.
“I can correct hammertoes in 10 minutes without pins or stitches,” explains Dr. Tenney. “All that’s needed are a few drops of local anesthetic. After the toes are straightened, patients put their shoes on and walk out of the office.”
Other common foot problems that he treats include in-grown toenails, warts and heel pain.
Dr. Tenney warns patients suffering from heel pain about listening to “Dr. Google.”
“Many of the things suggested online, such as rolling a tennis ball into the arch of your foot, can actually make heel pain worse,” he says.
Ongoing Maintenance for Toenails
“We also offer exceptional care for your problem toenails, a service that will keep your feet feeling fresh and happy. Diabetic patients need to be especially careful about their foot health. A regular foot checkup will help ensure that their feet stay healthy and safe,” states Dr. Tenney.
Here’s an example of the reviews you’ll find online about Lake Foot Care Center:

A Note from Dr. Tenney
My name is Doctor William Tenney. I’ve been practicing podiatry for more than 40 years.
I know that when your feet hurt, you hurt all over.
I know that when you hurt, you don’t want to spend precious time on the telephone speaking to machines, being shuffled from one prompt to another.
I know that you don’t want to be told you must suffer another six weeks waiting for your first appointment.
I know that you want to be seen by the doctor himself and not the doctor’s assistant.
I know that you deserve better.
When you call my office, the telephone will be answered by a real person who understands your needs. Appointments will be arranged, and you will probably be seen within just a day or two.
I look forward to helping you with your foot problems.
