Autumn is a time to fall back into established routines and schedules. It’s also a good juncture to ask yourself: Are these lifestyle routines serving you?

If they’re not, consider the professional collaboration of Carrie Ailstock-Wolford, of Carrie’s Weight and Wellness Coaching, who specializes in holistic nutrition programs, and functional/regenerative medicine practitioner Dr. Alia Whitman, of the practice Physician Within.

“We have a combined nearly 30 years in the medical industry and have helped more than 8,000 people lose weight and feel confident they will keep it off for the rest of their lives,” says Carrie. “We know the science behind what works. Everything we do is customized to each patient’s diagnostic data and body type.”

Within the first eight weeks, she reports clients shed an average of 20-50 pounds and notice improved gut health, sleep, stress and energy levels.

Dr. Alia brings to the partnership a host of regenerative and esthetic treatments such as PRP, (platelet-rich plasma) PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) and microneedling.

Detoxify from Within

“We begin by healing the gut,” says Carrie. “It’s the natural place to start. This detoxifies the body, decreases inflammation, and helps with mental clarity and mood, as well as skin health. Correcting gut function helps heal the adrenal glands, the thyroid gland and balance hormones.”

Science-based education, accountability and advanced technology are pillars of the program.

She adds that if women continue to experience menopausal symptoms after a gut reset, further blood work and optional hormone replacement therapy or bioidentical supplementation can be discussed. However, naturally balancing the body’s hormones remains the first priority.

To round out her comprehensive umbrella of services, Carrie says she recently hired a mental health psychologist, Adeena Sedlak-Horne, who will help people identify recurring problems such as stress eating and identify and address the behavioral “why” behind their weight issues.

Meet Lucija Berbakov

As a busy wife, mom to a 5-year-old and owner of her own HR consulting firm, 40-something Lucija didn’t have much time to spare the past few years.

“I’ve struggled since I was a teenager with my weight,” she says. “But it had crept up on me.”

Last October, she ran into a past coworker who was coaching at Carrie’s Weight and Wellness Coaching.

“The way she described it to me, a series of phases that take you from detox to maintenance using real food, all wrapped in a blanket of support and coaching, seemed different than anything I’d been on,” she says. “And I’ve tried everything.”

She sat down with Carrie in January, began the program, and to date has lost more than 80 pounds.

“The goal was to detox, stabilize my fluctuating hormones, boost my metabolism and heal inflammation,” she says. “I not only look and feel better than I ever have, but with my increased energy level, I’m running after my little boy and feel that I’m able to be a better role model to him. The program has gifted me a more promising life.”

“During the initial consultation, Carrie shared with me the science behind her program, emphasizing things like proper hydration and cellular health,” says Lucija. “After she ran diagnostics to pinpoint my biomarkers, Carrie was able to come up with a nutrient-based, non-restrictive eating plan fit to me.”

The experience at Carrie’s Weight Loss has propelled Lucija to become a coach here to transform other’s lives as hers was.

Carrie’s Weight and Wellness Coaching is located at 36 N. Aurora Road in Aurora. All clinical consultations are done at the Aurora location as well. Call 216-238-5556 or visit CertifiedCarrie.com for more information.
