Known for its ecological leanings and top-tier talent, Jade Hair Salon has quickly become one of the area’s go-to destinations for beauty.

For centuries jade has signified the essence of serenity, harmony and self-discovery.

Since these qualities were elemental to stylist and educator Devon Clark, it was a natural for her to name her Strongsville salon Jade.

The color is significant, too, as her green ethos follows a zealous passion for the planet.

“We make an effort to reduce waste, recycle and align ourselves with partners who are equally concerned with sustainability,” she says.

Once through the doors, you’ll find an oasis of different plants and 13 stations with sleek black leather chairs arranged in a triangular fashion for privacy.

Well-Known Industry Educators

“We are so proud to have five national educators on board,” says Devon. “Myself and several other stylists are educators for Surface and Matrix, and there’s more in the making.” Jade Salon is proud to be one of only a few salons in Cleveland offering this sought-after, eco-friendly product line from Canada. Surface products are cold-pressed, all-natural, and organic—from the ingredients to the packaging.

“The company donates 10% of its profits to World Vision and is a proud sponsor of the Arbor Day Foundation. With every Surface purchase, you’re helping us support a mission to leave the world better than we found it,” says Devon.

The team believes in these products so much it was named Surface’s No. 8 top-selling salon in the United States for 2025.

“The newest Surface product we’re all obsessed with is called All In Leave-In Conditioner,” says Devon. “It’s packed with antioxidant-rich, organic ingredients like cocoa butter, rice protein, amaranth protein, moringa oil and babassu oil. It helps repair and strengthen hair while sealing the cuticle for incredible shine and softness.”

All About the Authenticity

Devon says that in addition to Jade’s green ethos, another differentiator is the personable relationships they build with clients.

“We dive deep during the initial consultation and each visit after, pinpointing a client’s lifestyle and goals, as well as budget and upkeep they’re willing to invest in their hair,” she says. “We pride ourselves on taking time with each visit and being thorough. You won’t find any of our stylists saying, ‘the usual?’ when they meet with clients. Our clients get to know each other too and the vibe here is comfortable, homey and welcoming.”

Adding to the inviting environs is Devon’s adorable beagle named Blue, who is known to hang out and greet clients and even jump on their laps during shampoos if invited.

Over the 11 years the salon has been at this location, Devon and her team have become quite active in the community, sponsoring events, donating raffle baskets and even pitching in to style hair and makeup of prom-goers at the annual Night to Shine event.

Meet the Fab Five

The newest stylists to Jade Salon bring with them years of experience and a boatload of talent. “We were thrilled to welcome these ladies to our team: Emma Januszewski, Makayla Mace, Audrey Barno, Jenna Matthias and Amanda Fealkovich,” says Devon. “They are talented, well educated, and beyond proficient when it comes to offering a personalized experience for each guest.”

What’s Trending This Spring?

“Highlights and dimension are always popular this time of year,” she says. “Right now, we’re leaning into warmer beige tones and buttery blondes, rather than cooler ash shades. Any hair color can benefit from added depth and dimension. We specialize in lived-in color—soft, diffused highlights that grow out naturally without a harsh line of demarcation, creating a more graceful grow-out.”

When it comes to haircuts, it’s all about layers and texture right now, giving considerable volume and movement.
