When it comes to dental implant technology, Dr. William Aerni, of Aerni Dental, is in rarified air.

He was also recently recognized by the Midwest Implant Institute at Case Western Reserve University with an Honored Fellow Lifetime Achievement Award that recognizes his significant contributions to implant dentistry. It’s more than 11 times more accurate than placing an implant freehand,” he says. “Initially developed for neurosurgeons, the guided navigation during implant surgery helps in the accuracy of the implant placement, meaning position, angle and depth.”

And speaking of younger dentists, you can expect the next generation of Aernis, his youngest son Christopher, to one day join the growing practice. He just graduated from The Ohio State University and is heading off to dental school at his father’s alma mater, Case Western Reserve University.
