The “We Saved a Seat for You” campaign features bright yellow Adirondack chairs placed at 25 attractions, parks and wineries across Lake County.

The yellow chairs across Lake County are collecting stories from the people who know these places best.

Tour Lake County has launched a new tourism campaign designed to spotlight some of the county’s most popular destinations while encouraging visitors and residents to share personal memories connected to those places.

The “We Saved a Seat for You” campaign features bright yellow Adirondack chairs placed at 25 attractions, parks and wineries across Lake County. Visitors are encouraged to stop at the locations, take photos and share stories about what makes each destination meaningful.

The campaign highlights Lake County’s growing reputation in Ohio and throughout the Midwest as a tourism destination. Featured sites include lakefront parks along Lake Erie, the Grand River Valley wine region, downtown Willoughby, the Lake County Captains baseball team and Holden Arboretum. Lake Metroparks, which operates more than 40 parks throughout the county, is also included.

Neil Stein, executive director of Tour Lake County, said narrowing the campaign to 25 locations was one of the project’s biggest challenges because of the county’s wide range of attractions.

“Our team is so excited to kick off this initiative as we’ve been working behind the scenes on this campaign for a very long time,” says Neil. “Lake County has so many unique and amazing places.”

Each chair includes a QR code that directs visitors to an online page where they can submit stories and memories connected to the featured locations.

The campaign will be supported by a regional marketing effort throughout the year, including advertisements and pop-up chair locations at additional attractions, restaurants and special events.

More information and a list of participating locations are available at TourLakeCounty.com/FindYourSeat.
