Owned by local Medina County farmers who raise livestock and grow grapes, Tilted Farmer embraces the farm-to-table dining movement with a menu rooted in locally sourced ingredients and made-from-scratch cooking.

“We are part of the farming community and support other individual farms by sourcing as much as we can locally,” says Chris Spitzer, owner of the restaurant and a nearby 200-acre farm. “We smoke all our own meats out back and get creative in the kitchen with new recipes.”

The menu features beef, chicken and seafood, along with specialty pizzas baked in a wood-fired clay oven. Among the creative combinations are The Pickle and Mac n Cheese. The clay oven also is used to make flavorful salmon and dips.

“We are always trying new recipes, and the most popular then become staples on our menus,” Chris says. “Some of our most popular dishes are Honey Pecan Crusted Chicken, Black Cod and Beef Funghetto.”

Designed as a place for the community to gather, the gastropub offers something different throughout the week: Trivia Night with smoked chicken wing specials on Mondays; Around the World Dinners on Tuesdays, with specialties like Australian chargrilled kangaroo and German sauerbraten; Pizza Flights on Wednesdays; and live music rounds out the weekend entertainment.

With a lively, Hofbrauhaus-inspired atmosphere, the self-service tap walls featuring 36 beers and wines add an interactive element to a night out. Expansive dining rooms and an outdoor patio welcome everything from larger gatherings to casual dinners and date nights. For the Spitzer family, it’s about more than good food—it’s about creating memorable experiences and bringing family, friends and the community together around the table.

“We don’t just serve food, we also create experiences,” Chris says. “Most importantly, we create an opportunity to gather around the table with family and friends and enjoy a memorable night.”
