Part restaurant. Part brewery. Part music venue. Blue Heron Brewery makes the most of its scenic valley setting, with sweeping views of Medina County’s rolling hills.
“Despite being a brewery, Blue Heron prides itself on maintaining a welcoming environment for guests of all ages,” says Lynne Erjavec, marketing manager. “With a focus on elevated yet approachable pub menu offerings, there is something for everyone in the family.”
From the Wagyu Burger and Crispy Fried Chicken & Waffles to Curry Salmon and Maple Pork Chop, the menu pairs familiar favorites with creative twists. The Giant Bavarian Pretzel, served with warm whipped cinnamon butter, is always a crowd-pleaser, and Homemade Meatballs have been added to the menu as another shareable.
Diners can take a seat in the dining room or at the bar, or head outside to the expansive patio overlooking the valley. From November through February, the patio takes on a different appeal as it transforms into a cozy igloo experience.
“We partnered with Drees Homes to build platforms for the igloos, making the fully heated spaces even more inviting,” Lynne says. “We offer full-service dining for up to eight people in each igloo, and guests can choose lounge furniture or a dining table and chairs.”
Blue Heron also brews its own craft beers in-house, with 16 rotating taps featuring everything from a Kölsch and dark wheat ale to seasonal specialties.
“We just tapped our Blue Heron Christmas Ale, an easy-drinking English ale with subtle seasonal spices and garnished with rosemary, orange peel and cranberry,” Lynne notes. “We also have a new Yuletide Menace, a Belgian red ale with cherry and holiday spices.”
Beyond the restaurant and brewery, Blue Heron offers event hosting, catering and holiday take-and-bake meals. Fully cooked Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners include sides, dessert, wine and reheating instructions, making it easy to enjoy a restaurant-quality holiday meal at home.
