Luxurious and curly or sleek and straight, Cory’s can take you hair wherever you want it to go

Go ahead flaunt your curls, or, if you’d rather tame them, go for it.

At Cory’s Hair Studio & Day Spa, the stylists are well versed in techniques to embrace natural curls or to straighten hair.

“For those with naturally curly hair, we do the DevaCut, which is a specialized haircutting technique that will enhance curls,” says Corinne Calabro, salon owner.

Cory’s stylists are certified in this specialized dry-cutting technique, in which the hair is cut when it is in its natural dry state instead of wet.

“Each curl is cut individually so it does not disrupt the curl pattern,” says Corinne. “By cutting the hair when it is dry, we can see how the curls fall naturally.”

The salon also carries the DevaCurl product line, specifically designed for wavy and curly hair, which helps eliminate frizz and condition the hair. The products are free of parabens, silicones and sulfates.

Last year, the salon also added the Matrix A Curl Can Dream, a curl pattern-preserving system that has been gaining a loyal following among clients with curly tresses. Infused with Manuka honey extract, the line includes a shampoo, conditioner, moisturizing cream, gel, oil and mask.

“Specifically designed for wavy and curly hair, these Matrix products allow you to style your curls at home with definition and shine,” says Corinne.

On the flip side, for those with curly hair who want a straight, sleek style, Cory’s offers a GK Hair straightening treatment with natural seed extracts that keeps the strands moisturized and hair free of frizz. The keratin smoothing formula is applied to your hair after it is deep cleansed and then sealed in with a flat iron.

“As it gets more humid in summer, this treatment tames frizzy hair,” says Corinne, noting it lasts up to four months.

If you want more permanent hair straightening, the Matrix Opti Smooth is a pro-keratin smoothing cream that fortifies and conditions hair when flat ironing for a silky, smooth look.
