Acclaim Renovations & Design keeps things running smoothly

Effective communication is the cornerstone of Bob Gallese’s business, Acclaim Renovations & Design. Realizing that the overwhelming amount of detail management in home renovation had to be balanced with precise timing for jobs to run smoothly, he was one of the first in the area to buy into the web-based Co-Construct App for 24/7 access between clients and all levels of his design and construction team.
“It streamlines jobs by keeping us all on the same page, following decisions anytime of the day or night,” says Bob.
“Once on the jobsite, clients comment that our tradesmen communicate what they’re doing every day and see if they have any questions.”
And it’s that same reverence for professionalism that led Bob to launch this monthly column in Mimi Magazine.
“We have always felt that Mimi readers are savvy, sophisticated buyers,” he says.
“They appreciate professionalism and won’t be tempted to settle for the cheapest price. I know that in the renovation business, sometimes people are leery of contractors. And there are many opportunities to cut corners that might compromise the quality of the finished renovation. But that’s not how we roll.”
In addition to smooth communication and devotion to quality, Bob says his operation has thrived because it is organization-oriented, mentioning the company’s Five-Step Process, which includes an initial questionnaire, in-home consultation, project review, logging onto the communications app if you choose to go forward, and coordinating the start dates.
“We ask many questions in the consultation phase to find out people’s needs and wants,” says Bob. “Then we collaborate with the homeowner and guide them to the home of their dreams.”
