If you want to rejuvenate your face but think plastic surgery is too extreme and fillers are not enough, Profound RF might just be the perfect anti-aging treatment.

This innovative frequency energy with microneedling is used to stimulate the body to create collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid—the building blocks that keep skin looking smooth and youthful.

Why is it becoming the most sought-after esthetic treatment? It is minimally invasive, performed in the comfort of an office, and there is no physical downtime. Plus, it is a one-time treatment.

One of the first providers in Northeast Ohio to offer this leading-edge procedure, Dr. Michael Yerukhim—who is double board-certified in head and neck surgery and facial plastic surgery—added this nonsurgical treatment option to his practice earlier this year for patients looking to diminish the signs of aging.

“In surgery we can lift, tighten and move things around, but with this treatment we can improve the quality of the skin itself, making it healthier and more youthful,” says Dr. Yerukhim. “There is never a one-fits-all solution, so I use different tools to address the effects of aging and consult with each patient to determine which treatment will get the best desired result.”

“With Profound RF, I can dramatically enhance the quality of the skin,” he adds. “It makes the skin smoother and younger looking.”

Creating younger, smoother-looking skin, the Profound RF treatment is used to reduce sagging, loose skin of the lower face. It can also be complemented with other treatments—like micro-lipsuction—creating truly impressive results.

Revitalize Aging Skin
Starting in our mid-20s, elastin begins to break down, becoming less elastic and losing its spring. By precisely heating the skin’s elastin and collagen to an exact temperature for an exact amount of time, Profound RF helps stimulate the creation of new elastin, hyaluronic acid and collagen to repair aging skin.

“I create small micro injuries by directing radio frequency energy to the deeper layers of the skin, which stimulates the healing process and produces younger and healthier skin. This new technology is like taking microneedling into the space age,” says Dr. Yerukhim, a skilled and compassionate surgeon.

Profound RF is a minimally invasive procedure performed while patients recline in a spa chair and relax and listen to music. The actual treatment takes only about 45 minutes. Afterward, there is no physical downtime, with just some swelling and redness that goes away in less than a week.

“While patients like how their skin feels very soon after the procedure, it takes six to nine months to see the full results of the tightening and rejuvenation process,” says Dr. Yerukhim.

“It also costs a fraction of the price compared to a surgical facelift,” he adds. “And it costs about the same as a few syringes of filler, though those results last only about six months while Profound results last for years.”

“Just like a facelift, think of this treatment as resetting the clock back a little bit and then the aging resumes from a new, younger point,” he explains. “This procedure works great for men, too, as they have thicker skin and better blood supply because of their facial hair, so there are many more building blocks to regenerate.”

Not Just for the Aging Face
Younger patients can also benefit from these treatments, as the Profound RF treatment is an excellent option for overall skin health. Dr. Yerukhim uses it as a prejuventation treatment to help delay the appearance of aging earlier.

In Good Hands
Born in Moscow and fully bilingual, Dr. Yerukhim considers himself a full-fledged Clevelander since he has grown up and lived here for most of his life. A graduate of Mayfield High School, he played violin in the Cleveland Orchestra’s Youth Orchestra and earned a music minor in college.

He studied at two of the country’s most prestigious medical schools—Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York—and now has his own private practice dedicated to treating problems of the face and neck.

With the skilled hands of a surgeon and classically trained violinist, Dr. Yerukhim focuses on the smallest details and is dedicated to mastery of his technique.

Dr. Yerukhim brings Wickett, a teacup Pomeranian—and licensed therapy dog—to the office to help put patients at ease.

“I am a perfectionist at heart and love that I can help patients enhance not only their appearance, but also their overall well-being,” says Dr. Yerukhim. “Caring about one’s appearance is not superficial. Our face is our calling card and first impressions are critical.”

In fact, eye-tracking studies show that we recognize each other within a fraction of a second by just glancing over the face.

“To me, it does not matter whether it is an illness or something about your appearance that saps your confidence and holds you back from enjoying life to the fullest,” adds Dr. Yerukhim.

“When you feel better about yourself, you enjoy life and achieve more. To be able to affect that critical component of a person’s daily interactions is an awesome privilege, responsibility and reward. And to know that someone has a better chance of getting the most out of life because of what I do for them is tremendously rewarding.”
