What can Katy do?
By Patricia Nugent
Several years ago the producers at HGTV were researching Cleveland Realtors to work with when their hit show Househunters came to town.
They said they selected Katy Brahler of Re/Max simply because her slogan stood out from all the rest.
So let’s break it down…
”Katy Can. Katy Will. Katy Did. Call Katy!”
Katy Can
After graduating from Kent State University in 1991 armed with a degree in finance and real estate, Katy put her sales skills to immediate use as a Realtor.
Though she boasts listings as far away as Kent and downtown Cleveland, this Bay Village resident likes to keep things close to home, with an abundance of homes for sale in Bay and Rocky River.
“There is just an unexplainable magic about these cities,” she says. “From skirting Lake Erie along Huntington and Wagar Beaches to the Nature Center, Bay Days and town parades, people want to be part of these close-knit communities.”
And as a busy mom of teenage daughters, she knows firsthand the excellence of the nationally recognized Bay Village school system and offers a unique homegrown perspective of the area.
Katy Will
“One of the things that I will always do is call clients personally,” she says. “I know a lot of Realtors just shoot an email or text to communicate, but I don’t work that way. I like to engage in real dialogues with people for the most effective results.”
And her clients report that the personal touch was just one aspect of what they loved about working with Katy.
Peter and Natalie F. of Bay Village say,
“She took her time with us, gave us honest feedback, shared her knowledge and expertise in order to help us understand everything, fought for us, and gave us access to the best of the best when it came to home inspections. But one of the characteristics we appreciate most about her is her responsiveness. She is on top of every little detail and will always go the extra mile for you.”
Katy takes fabulous photos of a home with a wide-angle lens before putting it on the market, to showcase it in its best light.
“With the age of online home shopping, the power of pictures is huge,” she says. “But less is more. Having 30 photos that are repetitive or of mediocre quality won’t sell your home.”
She also will work harder for you than some other Realtors because RE/MAX Realtors operate on a different pay structure, paying for all the advertising to market a home upfront themselves.
“This means we are highly motivated to sell quicker and more efficiently than other agents,” she says. “We will not take on a home unless we are confident we can sell it for what the seller wants.”
Katy Did
As a Multi Million Dollar Producer, it’s not surprising that Katy’s name tops a long list of awards from Re/Max and industry associations. Most notably, she is a distinguished member of the President’s Club and Executive Club of Re/Max.
When it came time to create her own dream-turned-reality home in Bay Village, she metamorphosed a 2,100-square-foot cottage into a modern marvel with an open floor plan that spans 3,300 square feet of abundant natural light. It went on to garner numerous awards and was featured in local and national design magazines.
Call Katy
Anyone thinking of selling a home within the next few months (and with historically low interest rates and a shortage of homes on the market, now would be a prime time) should take advantage of Katy’s free Competitive Market Analysis service.
“I’ll use comparable sold listings in the area to establish a home’s current market value and begin discussing marketing strategies for selling,” she notes.
And for busy buyers, Katy does the house hunting for you. She wakes up each morning and scours MLS listings and then emails potential homes that fit their criteria.
