Overlooking the charming brick-lined streets of Chardon Square, Cosmetic Laser Medi-Spa & More provides a quiet oasis of curated wellness services, from laser hair removal and electrolysis to facials, massage, Botox, fillers, microdermabrasion, microblading, spider vein removal and platelet rich plasma therapy.

“We wanted to be the first laser hair removal studio on Chardon Square,” says owner Elaine Nelson, who is a licensed cosmetic therapist. “We’ve branched out to include the services our clients are asking for, adding doctors and therapists along the way to make that happen.”

Elaine’s daughter, Mandi, who is also a licensed cosmetic therapist, has joined the family business and is offering laser hair removal and electrolysis at the Chardon location, which opened last spring, joining a sister location in Mentor.

An expert in the alexandrite and YAG lasers, Mandi has years of experience working at a laser spa in Columbus. She’s also enmeshed in the industry and is currently the president of the Cosmetic Therapy Association of Ohio.

Clients can relax in the laid-back reception lounge with plush leather furniture while waiting for services in the adjoining massage suite or esthetic suite.

Life Changing
“I enjoy getting to know people and providing a welcoming, professional atmosphere,” says Mandi. “Many of my clients say laser hair removal and electrolysis have been life-changing.”

Elaine has more than 15 years providing hair removal services to the transgender community and is recommended by surgeons throughout the Cleveland area who work with gender reassignment cases.

Since the medi spa offers the most affordable laser hair removal in the area—a small fraction of what people would pay elsewhere—business has been booming. They’ve recently added two doctors to the practice just to handle the patient load.

“In addition to the laser work, these doctors will also be offering spider vein removal; facial contouring, including Botox and injectables; as well as hormone replacement treatment,” says Elaine.

A Retreat-like Oasis for Facials, Massage
Esthetician Christine Steadman provides custom-blended facials and peels to detox, hydrate and rejuvenate skin’s texture and tone.

Couples massage is also a specialty at Cosmetic Laser Medi-Spa & More. Elaine’s husband, Rocky, who is a licensed massage therapist, provides a wide range of massages, including therapeutic.

A super soothing beach-themed massage suite includes plenty of room for side-by-side spa tables under twinkling lights, starfish and sand dollars adorning sea-blue plank walls.

“Whether it’s husband and wife, moms and daughters, or friends, massage is the perfect spa experience to share,” says Rocky, who offers this service along with massage therapist Jeramiah. Though they perform several types of massage, from Swedish to relaxation, hot stone and aromatherapy, they say they are adept at customizing each massage to the person on the table.
