Like the old song says, “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” at It’s So You Resale Boutique in Willoughby.

Fresh off a buying trip to Chicago, owner and local fashion maven Laurel Howes and her crew of stylish elves are debuting new merchandise to get you ready for the holidays, from gorgeous clothing and accessories to home décor and furniture.

“This year we are promoting the concept of how to celebrate a ‘no-debt Christmas,’ because wouldn’t it be a ball to shop to your heart’s content, look fabulous and enjoy a beautifully decorated home, all paid for with plenty of money left over?” asks Laurel. “We’re the place to do that. And unlike a lot of mall stores, and fashion outlets like T.J. Maxx, that are struggling with supply chain issues, our supply chain is NOT broken. It is over 15,000 people strong, always growing and working beautifully. They love to give us their beautiful things to sell so they can buy more. And since so many of them are pretty intense shoppers who buy and sell quickly, about 40 percent of our store is new merchandise with the tags still on.”

These ladies can outfit you from head to toe for everything from formal holiday parties to afternoons spent by the fire, with hats, scarves, gloves, dresses, tops, jeans, leggings, athleisure wear, outerwear, shoes and boots, purses, jewelry and more.

Loads of Layers, Wild Prints
“Transitioning from fall to winter means we will be unveiling layered looks, because who wants to get out those bulky parkas, not me,” she says. “We are seeing lots of jackets (cropped moto-styles are hot), vests, ponchos, pashminas and wraps to cozy up to. Pleather leggings look stylish yet are super comfy.”

And check out the boutique’s infamous wall of boots.

“We have many, many styles to fit every age and every outfit,” she adds. “This winter we are seeing longer, sleeker boots in addition to the shorter booty length. I think knee-length styles elongate your silhouette and make a statement with a chic one-and-done sweater dress or skinny jeans.”

She says another big trend this season is animal prints, especially leopard.

“We have shoes, boots, sweaters, purses—you name it—in this sexy, edgy print,” she says.

Primping Your Home for the Holidays
“I predict this merry, merry season, whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, the entertaining will finally be back,” she says.
