If you have been treated for pain, you are likely familiar with the pain level chart that shows a green smiley face at Level 0 and a red, sad face at Level 10 with several pain levels in between.

Typically, Levels 1 through 5 represent mild to moderate pain that is more readily tolerated. However, Levels 6 and up can significantly affect your quality of life, especially if the pain has gone on for months or years. Chronic pain makes it difficult to simply sit down for a family meal. It stops us from engaging in day-to-day activities. It is exhausting, emotionally draining, and prevents us from focusing on others.

Here at Advanced MMC, we regularly help patients suffering with chronic pain go from, say, a Level 7 to a Level 2. While we cannot always eliminate chronic pain, we can often permanently reduce it to a level that allows you to get off your pain medication and get back to living.

However, this can take time. Quick fixes like pills and injections are often temporary and do not treat the underlying causes. With our integrated approach, we focus on permanent pain relief. We specialize in ultrasound diagnostics which allows us to see your tissues in motion, uncovering the true cause of your pain. And while we may recommend traditional treatments such as an injection or surgery, we may also suggest acupressure, acupuncture, massage therapy, infrared laser therapy, yoga and nutritional changes or supplements to correct vitamin deficiencies.

Using a combination of therapies suited to your specific condition and lifestyle, we could help you go from a red, sad face to a happy green one.
