Since 2005, The Incorvaia Team (Keller Williams Realty) has sold many thousands of homes, of which over 1,000 are located in Strongsville. An impressive statistic,, certainly, but for Sylvia, Mike Sr. and Mike Jr., the success of this family business is a testament to the relationships they have formed with their clients and this community.

Sylvia Incorvaia (center) has been a real estate agent since 1995. She formed The Incorvaia Team in 2003 with help from her husband, Mike Sr. (right). Their son, Mike Jr., joined the group just a couple of years later. Since its inception, the team has sold thousands of homes.

“We’ve lived in Strongsville since 1987, raised our family here and Sylvia has been an agent since 1995,” says Mike Incorvaia Sr. “I joined her after getting my license in 2003 to help with her thriving business and Mike Jr. joined in 2006. Today, together with 40 agents, this team can go east, west, north or south to serve Northeast Ohio’s real estate needs.”

Even though Sylvia was the only family member with a real estate license all those years ago, the Incorvaias were already working as a team.

Longtime client Tim Reuse’s relationship with the Incorvaias dates back to 1996. “I was Sylvia and Mike Sr.’s daughter Gina’s teacher, and I mentioned in class that I wanted to sell my house,” Tim recalls. “Gina said that her mom was an agent and the next thing I knew, Sylvia called me. Almost 30 years and five real estate transactions later, my family wouldn’t deal with anyone else.”

Tim says the reason The Incorvaia Team has always been who his family turns to for their real estate needs is very simple.

The Incorvaia Team team serves all of Northeast Ohio and consists of not only agents, but also lenders, title companies, home inspectors and anyone else involved in the home-buying and selling process.

“In our years of dealing with Sylvia and Mike and their team, no one has ever told us something because they thought it was what we wanted to hear,” says Tim. “They tell you the truth and never promise something they can’t deliver.”

And speaking of “the team,” Sylvia and Mike’s team serves all of Northeast Ohio and consists of not only agents, but also lenders, title companies, home inspectors and anyone else involved in the home-buying and selling process.

“They work with the best,” says Tim. “It’s always been important to them to surround themselves with people who work and think like they do, so there’s never a dip in the level of service they provide. They won’t recommend someone who doesn’t treat you like they do.”

Mike says they are always looking for agents to join their team and benefit from their unique system.

“We have a fully licensed staff that handles all the things that can bog agents down day to day, like marketing and administrative tasks,” says Mike. “Agents are also benefitting from our name and reputation in this industry.”

The Incorvaia Team has many clients they have seen through several real estate transactions through the years, just like Tim and his family. Understanding the needs of clients in different phases of their lives is something the Incorvaias take pride in and is a focus of the team.

As a 16-year veteran of The Incorvaia Team, Mike Jr. has become quite the Realtor and connector of all things Strongsville. He has lived his entire life in Strongsville and still maintains friendships with many of his classmates, dating as far back as kindergarten. “I have never seen anyone who knows more people than Mike Jr.,” smiles Mike Sr. “These relationships have served him well, and will propel him and the business to the next level someday when Sylvia and I decide to step back.”

Understanding the needs of clients in different phases of their lives is something the Incorvaias take pride in and is a focus of the team.

“In almost 30 years in this business, we’ve learned a thing or two about buying and selling homes and what that entails during the different phases of life,” says Sylvia. “An important and new aspect of our business is downsizing. And we’ve taken this knowledge to sponsor seminars called, ‘DownSize Cleveland.’ Participants of these seminars learn how to declutter, organize and simplify through the help of experts in all these areas. Moving is always emotional. Downsizing and all the additional issues that may entail can be overwhelming. We want to help people through this transition as seamlessly as possible.”

Sylvia describes DownSize Cleveland as Northeast Ohio’s premier seminar to assist the downsizing homeowner in the five major areas of transition—residential, emotional, legal, medical and financial—through a series of speakers with decades of experience in each area.

“Mike and I downsized recently ourselves. Even though we are in this business, it was difficult and overwhelming at times,” says Sylvia. “It’s stressful knowing how important it is to make the right decisions, particularly at this stage in our lives. It’s more than just another move. It can really affect your future and your quality of life moving forward. So often people are dealing with it alone or with a spouse who is incapacitated in some way and adult children are out of town. Together with all the individual experts in their fields, we give you the tools to make it as stress free as possible.”

In the true Incorvaia way, DownSize Cleveland, just like their real estate team, is all about helping people take that next step in their lives.

“No matter what we’re doing for our clients, it’s the people that matter most,” says Mike. “Everything else takes care of itself as long as our clients and our team members are taken care of.”
