Growing up, Liz Rowan fondly remembers time spent with her mom baking butter spritz cookies, but nowadays she has traded her cookie sheet for a Bundt pan—actually 100-plus Bundt pans.

As the owner of Nothing Bundt Cakes Strongsville, along with her husband, Rich, Liz oversees a team of bakers and frosters who meticulously create delectable Bundt Cakes in variety of sizes and flavors.

The first location in Northeast Ohio, the Strongsville bakery opened in 2017. As its name implies, it does one thing—and it does it better than anyone else.

“Nothing can compare to the moistness of our Bundt Cakes,” says Liz. “That’s what sets us apart.”

Nothing Bundt Cakes was founded in Las Vegas in 1997 by Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz and has grown to over 300 bakeries in 36 states, along with their first Canadian bakery in Burlington, Ontario.

There are nine cake flavors to choose from, along with one seasonal Featured Flavor, which currently is Lemon Raspberry, and is available through July 31st. Among the most popular flavors are Chocolate Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Raspberry, and Red Velvet.

While the recipe is proprietary, Liz reveals three ingredients—fresh eggs, butter, and cream cheese. For a lighter touch, drizzle frosting is available. “With our cakes, you won’t take a bite and have the frosting overwhelm the cake like you do when you eat a cupcake,” she says.

“Our frosting recipe is an involved process, which requires a lot of blending. Its smoothness and creaminess make it so delicious,” she adds.

In addition to Bundt Cakes, Nothing Bundt Cakes Strongsville has a unique selection of gifts including Demdaco plates and Pop-ins, Mud Pie wedding and inspirational items, and select items from Natural Life.

From bite-size Bundtinis to individually packaged Bundtlets to 8-inch or 10-inch Bundt Cakes and tiered Bundt Cakes, these scrumptious cakes are perfect for any occasion.

“Next time you want to bring dessert to a party or just home for your family to enjoy, bring some joy with our Bundt Cakes,” says Liz, noting they have cake decorations for every occasion, from birthdays and graduations to larger holidays.

“Bundtinis are a great dessert option when everyone likes different flavors. You can pick up a dozen Bundtinis so everyone can pick their favorite, whether Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Classic Vanilla, Marble, Carrot, or any of the other delicious flavors.”

Wedding Craze
With brides looking for that something different for their wedding, many are turning to Nothing Bundt Cakes to offer a fun, delicious, boutique dessert for their guests.

“On any given weekend, we average five weddings,” says Liz. “We can bake a beautifully decorated two-tiered Bundt cake for the bride and groom to cut, and then Bundtinis for the wedding guests to have for dessert.”

“The trend has shifted away from larger cakes to smaller more personal cakes. Couples are serving Bundtinis as the main dessert for their guests or pairing them with other bite-sized desserts,” she comments. “And our cakes are very affordable compared to other wedding cakes.”

The Bundt Cakes can be topped with fresh flowers provided by the couple’s floral designer, wedding toppers, or anything else the couple wants to make it their own style.

“We handle everything from the delivery to the set up,” notes Liz. “We also have a five-tier tower so we can artfully display 70 Bundtinis.”

Corporate Giving
Bundtlet towers make ideal corporate gifts. Stacked one, two, or three tall, the tower is wrapped in cellophane and topped with a ribbon, optional flower, and a sentiment flag. A custom logo can be added, too. Whether bringing them to sales meetings, giving them as thank you gifts or leaving them in hotel rooms as gifts for clients, these are treats that everyone loves.

“Our Bundt Cakes stand out from all the other store-bought cakes,” says Liz. “They are not only delicious but they also look pretty. And people who know about our cakes, get excited to see them and those who never had one, are curious to try one. Then when they bite into our cake, they are blown away because it is so moist and delicious.”

The bakery can print company logos and put them on a decorative card when decorating the cakes.

“We also have an employee birthday party package, where a company gives us all their employees’ birthdates for the year and we handle the rest,” says Liz, who previously worked for General Motors in Michigan and California and brings that same corporate customer service focus to her bakery. “People truly appreciate a great-tasting cake when given as a gift or for a celebration.”

Nothing Bundt Cakes Strongsville sells cake plates and stands so you can combine a full sized Bundt cake with a gift the recipient can keep well after the cake has been devoured. The bakery also features charming gift items that can be wrapped with a Bundtlet to add an extra touch to gift giving.

Boutique Gifts
In addition to the Bundt Cakes, the store has a wonderful selection of gifts for all occasions, even “just because.” Premium vendors like Mud Pie, Demdaco, Natural Life and Prissy Plates round out the selection.

“We sell cake plates so you can combine a Bundt Cake with a gift the recipient can keep,” says Liz. “We also have charming gift items you can have wrapped with a Bundtlet to add an extra touch to your gift giving.”
