You are what you eat. The old adage rings truer than ever today, as more studies are linking your nutrition directly to everything from preventable chronic conditions—high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and many forms cancers—to anxiety and sleep loss.

Clinical Nutritionist Dr. Stacy Cantlin at the newly opened Vivify Wellness at Avenues can analyze your daily nutrition and give you the tools to live a more vibrant life.

“I don’t just focus on calorie counts,” she says. “I delve further into the molecular structure of the food you eat and how it impacts your health and body’s systems.”

Two tracks are available with her counseling program. Track 1 is for the average person who wants to improve sleep, mood and energy while decreasing mood swings and stress. It includes three 45-minute sessions and a grocery tour. Track 2 is for those who have had a recent diagnosis of anxiety, depression, ADHD, an auto-immune disorder or cancer, for example. It includes eight 45-minute sessions.

Both plans include a grocery tour. Dr. Cantlin goes with clients to wherever they buy food and helps them with deciphering labels and making the best choices. Dr. Cantlin also has access to prescribe super-potent organic supplements, which will help you notice improvements faster.

She offers free lectures at Vivify on Thursdays, at 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. In June, she’s covering the connection between anxiety or ADHD and nutrition.
