When a restaurant first opens, there is buzz—especially if it comes with a pedigree like Hospitality Restaurants, known for launching a host of landmark culinary icons.

But it takes a special something to open to rave reviews and accolades (voted Best New Restaurant in 2018 by Akron Life Magazine), and, over time, manage to remain on the short list as everyone’s favorite local restaurant.

So, Kingfish Seafood is especially proud to announce it was recently voted Best Seafood restaurant in 2019 by the same publication.

The Freshest Catch—Without the Flight
You cannot serve the area’s finest seafood without knowing where and how to source it, and the best preparations to let it shine.

The talented culinary team at Kingfish has sourced the best of the best seafood available, and invites you to get a taste of the freshest catch…just in time for Lent, which kicks off on Wednesday, March 6.

Dive Into These Divine Duos
George Schindler, president of Hospitality Restaurants, says the newly debuted Lobster & Steak Nights and two-course dining menu on weekdays, from 4 to 6 p.m., have already been a smashing success.

The well-curated menu includes five delectable dishes to suit every palate, from tenderloin to shrimp, scallops, cod, salmon or lobster tail for $29.95—including salad.

“We hope people make reservations, especially on Wednesdays, as this special menu has been quite popular,” he says. “It’s a great way to get through mid-week.”

A Taste of N’Awlins Awaits You
As a natural complement to the Southern-inspired comfort dishes for which Kingfish is so well known, the breezy down-home vibe of its coastal décor plays perfectly into the cuisine’s inspiration.

As Fat Tuesday nears, the Smoked Lamb Brisket appetizer, with sweet corn chow chow and bourbon soy glaze, is a scrumptious way to get the party started.

Creole Seafood Bouillabaisse, with its spicy smoked tomato broth, is a satisfying winter warmer. And a zesty punch of andouille sausage and smoked turkey beautifully accents the sweetness of the shrimp, served over a rich base of Louisiana basmati rice in the Gulf Shrimp Jambalaya—a perennial Kingfish signature dish.

If the South is known for anything, it’s gathering friends around the table. Don’t miss the crowd-pleasing sharable side dish of Southern Grits & Wild Mushrooms, with smoked shiitakes, garlic braised greens and a silky slather of truffle oil.

So Much More Than Seafood
In addition to a dizzying array of seafood selections, Kingfish has also earned a reputation for its mouthwatering steaks.

“We only work with Certified Angus Beef—the very best available—which is the highest quality standard of beef graded in the U.S., with ‘C.A.B. Prime’ being the absolute best,” he says.

“Our Prime Sirloin might just be the best steak value in the city for the money at $29. It is served with house potatoes, asparagus and Madeira Jus.”

The restaurant also caters to vegetarians with their own menu. Kingfish Harvest Plate or the Vegan Jambalaya anyone?
