For anyone experiencing the pain and often debilitating effects of neuropathy, you know that relief can be elusive. Dr. Pooja Patel, founder of Core Life Chiropractic, offers chiropractic services and other safe and effective therapies for those suffering from neuropathy, leaky gut and more.

“I opened my practice in 2018 exclusively offering chiropractic services,” Dr. Patel says. “Chiropractic care addresses much more than spinal issues alone. Leaky gut and neuropathy patients can also benefit greatly from this care and experience real healing, often for the first time.”

A large part of Dr. Patel’s practice involves educating patients about how a healthier lifestyle can help to manage and even eliminate the symptoms of neuropathy and leaky gut.

“For neuropathy, there are different types and causes, but in all cases the blood is not getting oxygen and nutrition to the nerves and the nerves deteriorate,” Dr. Patel explains. “Neuropathy can be a result of diabetes, chemotherapy treatment, even excess weight from a sedentary lifestyle. The most common symptoms are burning, pain, lack of coordination and that stabbing feeling in the feet.”

The symptoms of neuropathy can lead to loss of function, which leads to difficulty socializing and emotional trauma. The cycle continues, worsening symptoms.

“Common treatment from medical doctors is to immediately put patients on medications like Gabapentin or Lyrica,” Dr. Patel says. “The thing many doctors fail to mention is these drugs can actually exacerbate the symptoms of neuropathy with side effects of weakness, trouble with gait, inflammation and swelling.”

These medications are intended to block or calm the nerves temporarily, but, according to Dr. Patel, they mask the real issue of the deteriorating nerves. Medications will not resolve neuropathy and may actually make it worse.

At Core Life Chiropractic, Dr. Pooja Patel addresses the cause of neuropathy through an initial and comprehensive consultation, thermal imaging of legs, hands and feet, and stimuli testing of the nerves to make a diagnosis.

At Core Life Chiropractic, Dr. Patel addresses the cause of the issue through an initial and comprehensive consultation, thermal imaging of legs, hands and feet, and stimuli testing of the nerves to make a diagnosis.

“Once we’ve gathered all of the data, made a neuropathy diagnosis and determined how advanced it is, we can begin treatment,” Dr. Patel says. “And treatment begins with education.”

Dr. Patel’s exclusive treatment system increases blood flow to the nerves in the feet and/or hands, which helps to rejuvenate nerves naturally and has returned many of her patients’ feet and/or hands to normal (see testimonial below). No surgery. No addictive medications. The proprietary and comprehensive treatment program utilizes up to eight different state-of-the-art technologies and is unlike any program you may have already experienced.

“I have seen a remarkable difference. says E. Jones, 78. I am able to take trips, walk, sleep and be pain free. I went from a 57% nerve loss down to 20%”.

Dr. Patel sees some patients who come to Core Life Chiropractic as a last resort in a long journey to find pain relief from neuropathy, conditions related to neuropathy; pins and needles, numbness and tingling, sensitivity to cold in the hands and feet and more. Unfortunately, with neuropathy, if the nerve damage is advanced, it may be too late.

“It’s difficult to see patients who have been struggling with neuropathy and taking medications that are making the problem worse and delaying healing to the point that the nerves are permanently dead,” Dr. Patel says. “Here, through education, proper nutrition, exercise and other lifestyle changes, we can get you pain-free without medications and back to living your best life.”

Dr. Patel urges anyone suffering from neuropathy to make an appointment for a consultation and start on the path to a healthier, pain-free life through chiropractic care.

“This is what drew me to this field and why I’m so passionate about helping people discover that so many health issues are preventable by living a healthy lifestyle,” Dr. Patel says. “My goal, my passion, is to help you get there.”
