Lucky Shoes isn’t resting on its 100-year-old laurels. And shoppers visiting Strongsville’s SouthPark Mall will discover that Lucky Shoes is celebrating its centennial anniversary with big changes.

“As we celebrate our past this year, we’re also continuing to innovate for the future,” explains John Luck, fourth-generation president.

“We’re thrilled to announce grand re-openings of the New Balance, Stride Rite, and Lucky Shoes stores inside SouthPark Mall. We started with the customer experience and envisioned fresh looks for each store that would feel welcoming and easy to navigate.”

New Balance
First, you’ll find striking new updates to the Strongsville New Balance store.

“Many of our customers are surprised to know that this New Balance store in SouthPark Mall—along with others across Ohio—are all locally owned by the Lucky Shoes family, so you’ll find our same passion for quality standards, shoe fit, and style,” shares John.

According to John, the New Balance store got a full makeover, including a new, inviting store layout to help customers navigate the many options. You’ll also find modern lighting and a bright layout with bold lettering to help guide you to the style or function of the shoe you need.

Stride Rite
Next, the customer-centric design team focused on the Stride Rite store. (You guessed it. The Lucky Shoes family owns and operates this SouthPark Mall store, too, along with other Stride Rite stores throughout the region.)

Today, the renovated Stride Rite store offers Ohio’s first ever Stride Rite Fit System, a unique tool to measure your child’s foot with high-tech precision. Gone are the days of asking a toddler to calmly stand—and stay still— inside the clunky metal foot measuring device. Now, by simply stepping on a pad, this proprietary technology analyzes your child’s foot length and width, so the staff at Stride Rite can help you discover the perfect options for fit.

Technology got an upgrade and so did the walls and shelves. According to John, you’ll now find a hefty expansion of product offerings in all size ranges and styles, plus a bold new layout with modern, kid-friendly furniture. And you won’t miss the new bright blue signage welcoming you into the store.

Lucky Shoes
The family didn’t forget about their flagship brand during this makeover. You’ll also find a newly remodeled Lucky Shoes Store inside SouthPark Mall.

“We are thrilled to bring in a brand-new athletic shoe department for both men and women,” John shared. “It includes brands that our savvy customers have requested for years: Hoka, Altra, and Brooks.”

In addition to brightening up the store with updated lighting, fixtures and paint, customers will also find a new, fashion-forward handbag department.

New Vionic Department
But the piéce de résistance may be this final puzzle piece of the massive Strongsville makeovers.

You can now find the world’s first full Vionic department inside the Lucky Shoes store at SouthPark Mall. Now with a huge selection—including runway-ready trends and the classic Vionic comfort technology—the Lucky Shoes family is offering sandals, casuals, athletics, boots, and dress shoes, plus the popular Vionic insoles and shoe care products.

“We have guests drive for hours just to try on Vionic shoes,” John explains. “And now we’ll be able to offer a full department—the first of its kind—inside SouthPark Mall.”

As for the design, you’ll see a bright new look with modern furniture, light wood, and white accents. But most importantly, the new 2019 spring styles are on full display.
