“Mastering others is a strength. Mastering yourself is true power.”

Each day within the vibrant Healthy Attractions wellness studio in Fairlawn, health and life coach Heather Kuchar displays on a welcome board empowering words that she and her clients can live by—and up to. And this phrase is particularly close to the heart of what happens here: motivating people through science-based research to become masters of their own well-being through customized nutrition and fitness.

Heather offers three wellness programs: a 90-Day Program with 12 one-on-one coaching sessions for a total journey to wellness, a six-week Self-Discovery Program, and a Two-Week Detox to reset your nutritional health. Included with the programs are yoga classes in her well-appointed yoga studio located within Healthy Attractions.

How to Drop the Last 10
Fifty-something Stacie W. from Macedonia is typical of Heather’s clients in that she came to her in a rut after having run through a gamut of fad diets. With a high-stress job and lots of travel, there’s not much time to spend on herself.

“I had tried many things and none of them helped me lose those last nagging 10 pounds,” says Stacie. “I had hit a wall. When I first heard about Heather, I was skeptical. But she turned out to be an amazing coach, tailoring the program to my needs. I dropped the 10 pounds and have more energy, focus and positivity than ever. Coming to her is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”

Heather says her goal is for clients to gain the necessary skills to achieve their optimum wellness and then continue to use them for the rest of their lives.

Using all the research she’s uncovered over the last 15-plus years in the health and wellness industry, Heather Kuchar has created a roadmap for how to achieve an ideal day.

What Should Your “Ideal Day” Look Like?
Using all the research she’s uncovered over the last 15-plus years in the health and wellness industry, Heather has created a roadmap for how to achieve an ideal day. She’s currently working with a publisher to turn this valuable insight into a book.

Her health recommendations include many of the issues she covers in the 12 sessions of the 90-Day Program.

Here’s a sneak peek:

  • Waking up – “How you get up in the morning affects your whole day. Take deep breaths and stretch to reawaken the body before getting out of bed. Skyrocketing out of bed the second you get up will only release stress hormones.”
  • Nutrition throughout the day – “Eat within 90 minutes of waking. Opt for protein, healthy fat and veggies. Drink a glass of water 15 minutes before enjoying a healthy lunch. Dinner should include complex carbs (sweet potatoes, lentils, quinoa) to encourage sound sleep. Each meal should also contain healthy, clean protein. No matter what you are eating, engage in slow, mindful chewing.”
  • Stock up on daily essentials – “Drinking lemon water helps detoxify the body, cleanse the digestive system, and provides a power-packed punch of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Eat a colorful variety of food, and plenty of greens every day.”
  • Toss this, not that – “Go through your kitchen and get rid of processed foods, sugar, soda, alcohol, dairy and canned foods. Excellent substitutes include sea salt, maple syrup, raw honey and nut milks.”
