Every bathroom remodel by Bath R Us is designed to impress and yours can become a showstopper too

Over the past year, Bath R Us has taken Cleveland by storm, also expanding to Columbus, Toledo, and Cincinnati, building its trajectory of success one amazed customer after another. The just-right formula of bathrooms-only renovations that are luxurious yet affordable, completed in just a few days, has earned them accolades.
Marilyn C. of Vermilion is one such wowed homeowner.
“My husband and I worked with the Amish to build our rustic log home 33 years ago,” she says. “Our master bathroom was very much in need of a renovation. I wanted to complement the beautiful wood, which includes logs and tongue-and-groove ceilings and walls yet add a more modern touch.”
Working with Bath R Us, they were able to pull out the old and dated glass-doored fiberglass shower and replace it with a granite-look shower in muted swirls of tans and creams. Marilyn said she wanted a shower rod with fabric shower curtain to soften the look.
A Modern Twist
“He was so professional and extremely knowledgeable about the product samples we went over,” she says. “Going with oil-rubbed bronze for the fixtures helped keep the antique-y feeling. For safety purposes, it was nice to add a grab bar and non-skid bottom on the tub, too.”
She said she was looking for more storage as well, and Burt suggested adding a linen closet cabinet, which is floor to ceiling with loads of space in drawers and shelves. Here’s where she had fun with color, opting for a cool pale jade to complement all the warm woods.
For flooring, she decided to pull out the existing carpeting and install wood planks with an earthy matte finish.
“Burt made me feel comfortable throughout the process,” she says. “And the installers could not have been nicer. In and out in just three days, they were conscientious and I felt like they treated my home like it was their own. They took pride in their workmanship, as well they should.”
Needless to say, when Marilyn has company over now, the master bath is the first room she shows them.
“Everyone has been so impressed with how it turned out,” she adds.
Making the Transformations Happen
Bath R Us Founder Chad Howman started the company in March of 2020, just as the pandemic was hitting.
“Most contractors think of the bathroom as an after-thought as part of a bigger renovation. I decided that if I could find the right suppliers of tubs and showers, and find ways to put a whole-room renovation together, people in our area would appreciate it,” he recalls.
