It takes something special to be the largest kitchen cabinet supplier in Ohio, with happy customers throughout the Eastern United States and Canada.

“High quality and quick availability at affordable prices. That’s our secret sauce.”

That, exposes Tony Laurinaitis, is what makes Choice Cabinet special.

So special, in fact, that the family owned and operated company Tony established 13 years ago has outgrown its showroom, warehouses and world headquarters in Bedford Heights and is in the process of moving to new facilities nearby.

Choice Cabinet’s move to a new showroom and a consolidated new warehouse is already paying off for people who are looking to remodel their kitchens right now. That’s because all the cabinets at the existing showroom at 26200 Richmond Road are being sold off at discounts of up to 85 percent until they’re all gone.

“When we started the company, we were one of the first to develop all-wood cabinets with high-end custom features at prices that give the big box stores a run for their money,” Tony explains.

“We’re blessed to have had incredible success as a manufacturer and distributor to dealers in 31 states and Canadian provinces. Having our showroom and warehouse here in Bedford Heights makes it especially convenient for Northeast Ohio homeowners. At any given time, we have at least 50,000 different cabinets on-site for fast delivery—usually within a couple days, not eight to 10 weeks like some manufacturers.”

Choice Cabinet offers fast delivery on many of its cabinet lines.

The new showroom, to be located up the street at 4856 Richmond Road, in Warrensville Heights, is scheduled to open in late September.

The new Choice Cabinet showroom, to be located up the street at 4856 Richmond Road, in Warrensville Heights, is scheduled to open in late September.

The new warehouse, which will be operational by end of November, combines three facilities into one. It is located at 26401 Fargo Avenue, in Bedford Heights.

“Our new showroom will feature a lot of the latest trends in door styles,” Tony promises. “We’ve added a large variety of white door styles because of the popularity and high demand. We’ve also added gray door styles, which is another growing trend for kitchens.”

Choice Cabinet offers two lines of products. Its “Essentials” and “Select” lines, Tony says, includes top quality cabinets that make welcome additions to many high-end homes. The “Essentials” budget line of cabinetry is ideal for apartments, rental homes and homes that are going to be flipped.

All of them, Tony insists, “are built like tanks. That’s why we are one of the few companies that provides a limited lifetime warranty. The major manufacturers are selling particle-board cabinets, but will offer an upgrade to wood at an additional charge of up to 20 percent. Our cabinets are made from the thickest wood in the industry at a low price point. They have all the features you would expect from a premier line of cabinets. And they are gorgeous.”

They are the cabinets of choice in most of the large Downtown apartment buildings, Tony notes.

“We’ve done the Terminal Tower residences and about 20 other large-scale buildings in Downtown Cleveland and other cities,” he says.

Among Choice Cabinet’s 45 employees are Tony’s sons—Jason and Tyler—and his daughter, Jessica. His wife, Dottie, is a nationally acclaimed kitchen designer who has won numerous awards for her work.

Kitchen design, Tony says, is another area where Choice Cabinet stands out from other cabinet makers.

“What happens way too often is people go into a big box store and talk to a person who is called a designer,” he says.

“Unfortunately, most of them are not trained about what is trending in the market or how to think outside the box to most efficiently use space. What you get at Choice Cabinet is design services that you would normally expect to get at a customized cabinet shop where you are going to pay two to three times as much. We have the ability to modify our cabinets, which allows us to achieve customized design with stock pieces to create kitchens.”

The new Choice Cabinet warehouse, which combined three previous facilities into one, is already serving contractors at 26401 Fargo Avenue, in Bedford Heights.

Tony says it is satisfying to have experienced the accomplishments and exceed the goals he set 13 years ago. He also enjoys having his family members being involved in the business. Jason, he says, manages marketing and apartment sales. Jessica manages dealer and sales support. Tyler manages sourcing and operations.

“I am blessed to have my family involved in the business. One reason is because I don’t have to work 70 hours a week anymore,” Tony laughs.
