With so many salons trying to be everything to everyone, Art of Impact Salon just focuses on what it does best: hair.

Instead of add-on services such as manicures, facials and massages, here everything exclusively revolves around an extensive menu of hair services.

“We offer the most advanced hair coloring techniques and on-trend haircuts that will not only make your hair beautiful, but also healthy,” says Jenn Miller, owner of this stylish and chic salon.

One of the salon’s specialized services is reactive cutting. Hair is cut when it is dry so the stylist can better see how the hair falls naturally and compensate for any waves, kinks or cowlicks.

For those with curly hair, the staff also is well versed in the Ouidad curl-specific cutting technique that enhances curls and lets curls be curls.

“No two curls are the same, so this custom cut creates negative space for the curls to lay and puzzle-piece together,” explains Jenn.

“Whether you have loose waves, tight curls or springy spirals, this technique and product line will help the curls stay defined and free of frizz.”

As you would expect in a hair-centric salon, all of the hairstylists are expertly trained in a myriad of color techniques.

“The buzzword this year in color is Ecaille,” says Jenn. “This technique creates a soft, seamless blend for any color palette, whether blonde, brunette, red, black or even the fashion shades of blue, pink and purple.”

“Unlike the Ombre technique, there are no distinct lines of color as it all melds together,” she explains.

“The hairstylists hand-paint the colors on the hair and smudge them together for a seamless blend that results in sun-kissed hair color that naturally grows out.”

“Whether hair coloring or cutting, we customize each salon visit based on what the client is looking for and to suit the needs of their hair,” adds Jenn.

In addition to color and cuts for men and women, the salon also offers keratin hair smoothing treatments, hair extensions, eyelash extensions and waxing services to remove hair.

As the salon gets ready to celebrate its seventh anniversary this spring, the interior paint colors and décor are being updated with a fresh, fun look. And Jenn is also readying to open a second salon in Munroe Falls.

“I am excited that we are growing and expanding into new communities,” says Jenn, noting the new salon is a smaller, boutique-type salon.

“As we celebrate our anniversary this April in Streetsboro and open a new salon in Munroe Falls, I want to share our success with the community by giving back,” says Jenn, who grew up in Portage County and makes it her mission to pay it forward.

“We are partnering with shelters for battered women to do makeovers for those going on job interviews, we are helping to bring awareness to human trafficking, and we are hosting events to collect food and clothing for those in need.”

“A percentage of every service and product sold in our salon is donated to community organizations that share our same heartbeat,” she adds, noting this year she will donate 1.8 percent. Every year the percentage increases to match the year. “I am committed to ‘giving back beautifully.’”
