Where the rubber meets the road—your tires—is important to maintain for your driving safety, especially here in Northeast Ohio, where nearly half the year sees below freezing temperatures.

It’s a good idea to know the tread depth of your tires. In Ohio, we recommend replacing them if they get under 4/32nd of an inch to keep from hydroplaning and sliding.

Oftentimes tires can suffer from uneven wear and tear, whether due to a failed suspension system or steering component issues.

Another reason to replace tires is old age. Most tire manufacturers say tires nine years and older are compromised and no longer have the integrity to be deemed safe.

We offer more than 20 brands of tires, from economy to higher-end ones to fit every make and model. Unfortunately, with shipping restrictions and the price of petroleum, tires have experienced a price increase over the past year. However, rebates are always available, and we let our customers know about that.

Before recommending a good fit, we find out how long you plan to keep the automobile and how and where you drive it.

To keep your tires in top running condition, we suggest you have them rotated every 5,000-7,500 miles. Tire pressure is important as well and should be checked every month.

Every time you come into Rad Air for an oil change, our technicians are looking for wear and tear such as bulges. We always try to repair before we replace.
