The stimulus checks arriving in bank accounts and mailboxes this past month have been providing relief for Americans. Many are using this “found money” to focus on self-care.

“Everyone has been so stressed this past year, so many clients are using part of their stimulus checks to relax and rejuvenate,” says Corinne Calabro, owner of Cory’s Hair Studio & Day Spa. “Our spa has been busy with clients coming in for massages, body wraps, facials, manicures and pedicures.”

A soothing pedicure with colorful nail polish can be the perfect pick-me-up. And for those looking for the ultimate in relaxation, try the Chocolate Mousse Body Wrap. Designed to melt away stress, your body is buffed with chocolate, rinsed, and then painted with a warm chocolate mousse mask. Then you are wrapped in a warm cocoon and rubbed with chocolate butter cream.

In addition to these rejuvenating spa services, a new haircut or color can also provide a much-needed boost.

“I just had a client who wanted to add some strands of blue hair color as a fun way to incorporate a current trend,” says Corinne. “Spring is always the perfect time to try a new hairstyle. But right now, it is refreshing to sport a new hairstyle.”
