Womens Endowment Fund Celebrates Mother's Day by Honoring Special Women

AKRON, Ohio (April 7, 2008) The Women's Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation has kicked off its annual Mother's Day campaign. The campaign allows donors to make tribute or memorial gifts to the Women's Endowment Fund in honor of the special women they know. Each honoree will receive a Mother's Day card informing her that a gift was made in her name, though the amount of the gift will not be disclosed.
Last year's Mother's Day Campaign raised a total of$10,620 for the Women's Endowment Fund.
Contact Akron Community Foundation at 330-376-8522 to make a donation. Gifts must be made by April 30 to ensure honorees receive their cards by Mothers Day.

The Womens Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation was established in 1993 as a permanent endowment committed to encouraging the advancement of Summit County women and girls. Grant-making supports the educational, physical, emotional, social, artistic and personal growth of women and girls.
