In today’s tight job market, you need every advantage you can get. That includes looking great during your next interview. Drs. Mario Pavicic and Tom Thomas, owners of Five Points Dentistry, can’t do much about the soup stain on your white shirt, but they can polish up your smile with new veneers or a tooth alignment using Invisalign invisible aligners.

“Instead of losing money in the stock market, here’s a way to make a sound investment in yourself,” insists Dr. Tom.

Dr. Mario says Invisalign is ideal for people who need minor straightening of their teeth.

Unlike metal braces, most people can’t tell you’re wearing Invisalign. But the benefits go beyond appearance. Invisalign aligners can be removed at any time to eat, drink, brush, floss—or even just for special occasions—making them more sanitary than permanent braces.

“Straight teeth are not only important for cosmetic reasons,” Dr. Mario says. “Straight teeth are easier to brush and floss, which is healthier for the surrounding gums and bone.”

The acrylic aligners are individually manufactured with exact calculations to shift teeth into place gradually. The aligners are switched out every two weeks, resulting in a gradual straightening of your teeth. That means you may not have to wait as long to see your brand new smile.

Drs. Mario and Tom are among the select group of dentists in the area who are certified in Invisalign.

“Invisalign costs slightly less than traditional braces, but are usually not appropriate for people who require major tooth straightening,” Dr. Mario notes.

Dr. Tom says adults who have already had metal braces but have experienced tooth movement over time are very good candidates for Invisalign. For many, years after having traditional braces removed, back teeth may begin to tilt inward, pushing front teeth out of alignment. Invisalign braces can correct that shift.

Invisalign is the latest new service offered by Five Points Dentistry, which features the most advanced dental care available, including laser cavity detection, digital x-rays and intra-oral cameras and the CEREC computer system that allows them to custom make crowns and on-lays on-site.

The dental technology isn’t all that is impressive at Five Points. When you come to see Drs. Mario and Tom and their smiling staff, you might think you’re at a spa. Your head rests on a warm, aromatic pillow and your hands enjoy a soothing paraffin wax treatment.

The patient rooms feature Direct TV, so you can enjoy a movie or a game during your procedure, although eating popcorn at the time is discouraged.

And while you—or the kids—wait in the colorfully decorated reception area, you can enjoy a custom-brewed cup of coffee or a juice while playing Wii on a 37-inch LCD screen.

Five Points recently added a new patient communications program to text or e-mail reminders about your next appointment while sharing other important and educational information through a digital newsletter.

“We also use it to survey patients about their experience here,” explains Dr. Mario.

To help you take a bite out of dental costs, Drs. Mario and Tom will take $500 off the price of your Invisalign treatment when you mention that you read this story in Mimi.

“We realize these are difficult times, so we’ll work with you to set up flexible and affordable payment plans,” Dr. Tom assures.

In addition, all new patients will get free whitening trays. “Sparkling white teeth never hurt in a job interview,” Dr. Tom points out.
