There is one word in the English language that’s guaranteed to get the heart pumping and the blood flowing—SALE. But not just any sale will do. It’s got to be the kind of sale that’s held just once a year—like the 15th annual Chez-Del Home Furnishings & Interior Design Annual Furniture Warehouse Sale—where customers can realize a savings of up to 70-percent off nearly every brand regularly carried at its two prestigious locations.

“We pull furniture and accessories from both of our locations. Some items feature discontinued fabric or have been chosen for the sale to make room for new collections,” explains Tim DelMedico, Vice President of the 61-year-old, family-owned furniture landmark. “Our 25,000 square foot warehouse will be packed with bargains of every shape and size—starting at as little as a dollar.”

But this is no garage sale.

There is a small amount of scratch and dent to pick from, but in addition to the assortment of Chez-Del showroom pieces that are in perfect condition, you’ll also find items that Tim has sourced during his buying trips across the country. “As we visit the showrooms in New York, Atlanta, and Chicago during the year, we make arrangements to include particular vendors in the sale who are willing to extend deeply discounted prices to our customers based on our purchasing volume,” he explains. “Some items at the sale can be special ordered in a different fabric. If you see a “sold” sign, we may even be able to re-order it for you.”

But discounts are only offered during the three-day event, which will be held this year on June 13, 14, and 15.
“We buy entire vendor showrooms of art and accessories during our travels,” Tim explains. “That’s why we’re able to keep the levels of stock fresh and exciting for our customers throughout the event. There is enough inventory for everyone to get in on the savings.” In fact, the sale will feature more than 2,000 different items, not counting what’s available for special order.

It’s a great way for regular Chez-Del customers to save big on a piece they may have had their eye on, or for someone who hasn’t had the opportunity to experience the quality offered at either of their regular locations to get a feel for what Chez-Del is all about. “In addition to being a whole lot of fun, it’s a great way for anyone to get to know us,” Tim smiles.

The 10 designers employed at the store will each be on-hand at the warehouse to help guide you through your purchase decisions. “We have a lot of merchandise and having the designer to turn to as a resource during the sale takes some of that pressure off,” he explains. “We encourage our customers to bring photos of rooms they’re trying to complete, or of a particular area in the home that needs that something special. Paint and fabric swatches are helpful. And while every designer has a tape measure, it’s not a bad idea to bring one of those, too. Being prepared is the best way to fully enjoy the sale.”

On Saturday, June 14th, WKDD will give you another reason to enjoy the sale. They’ll be on hand with free pizza and refreshments during their live broadcast from noon to 2 p.m.

Chez-Del will accept cash, checks, and major credit cards during the sale, but will also offer a “no payments and no interest for six months” credit special as well. “You could enjoy your purchases until 2009 without having to pay a dime for them,” Tim announces. Buyers opting to cash and carry may do so on all accessories, and delivery is also available for a nominal fee.

“If you aren’t quite ready to place what you’ve purchased in your home, we’ll store it for you at no charge,” he promises. Due to the limited nature of some of the merchandise, and the significant discounts attached, all sales are final. Chez-Del will, however, extend all manufacturers’ warranties to its customers who make purchases. “We’re known for our superior level of customer service and that’s no different during this event,” Tim assures.

He offers this final bit of advice for would-be bargain hunters, “Remember that this is a warehouse sale. Wear comfortable shoes and casual clothing.”

And get ready to save—big.
