“We started this business back in 1989,”
says Dave Sylvester, who along with wife, Rhea, owns and operates Sylvester Auto.

“I’m a diesel mechanic by trade and this seemed like the perfect location to serve truckers and our community. We built our business on heavy truck repairs and before we knew it we had local businesses bringing their trucks in for tires and service. Then, municipal governments in the area began bringing their vehicles and requested that we work on their passenger car fleets. We built our business on heavy truck repairs, but the next thing we knew, they were bringing in their own personal cars.”

Ten years later, Dave and Rhea now operate one of the largest and for sure, one of the busiest independent automotive sevice centers in N.E. Ohio. “From sports cars to minivans and luxury sedans, right up to RVs, we offer complete one-stop service and maintenance,” he adds. “We even rent trucks for moving.”

“I know more and more women seem to be responsible for handling the transportation maintenance needs of their families and we offer honest, no-nonsense answers when they come to us for service,” Rhea assures. “We also make sure that our customer areas are clean and pleasant. If they don’t have time to wait, we will shuttle them back home or to work if necessary.”

“Ultimately, our goal is for our customers to leave with peace of mind, knowing that the vehicle that transports their family every day has received the best care possible and that they were treated fairly,” she continues with pride. “The large chains would say we are striving to create a great experience, we say we are trying to treat our customers like we would our own family.”

While exploring the showroom, customers will find virtually every popular brand of tire like Goodyear, Dunlop, Kelly Springfield and Republic. Auto service manager Jamie Ruminski promises that Sylvester Auto is competitively priced with anyone out there when it comes to tires.
