Real Women, Part IV

Ashley’s new look gives her an amazing number of styling options. It’s a look that’s perfect for the busy, fashion forward college student, mom or professional “real woman.”
Inherently gifted—with true experience, elegant style and dedication—are just some of the ways clients often describe stylist Amy Bammerlin.
Each month, Medina’s Salon Evangelene will highlight the work of one of the salon’s talented stylists. And each time the featured model will be—a real woman.

When Salon Evangelene sent out a call to models for its first in-house photo shoot last August, the salon team ended up recruiting a slew of amazing local women—most with no previous modeling experience. Of the eight real women chosen, Ashley was the only one with professional modeling experience.
The model call turned out to be a reunion of sorts. When Ashley was a little girl, I was her hair stylist. She’s definitely grown into a beautiful, confident woman who now attends college.
Ashley has such an astounding sense of style that she quietly commands attention wherever she goes. She has a modern grace that is beautifully reflected in these photos, and an amiable nature that transcends her stunning good looks.
Ashley’s been chosen as the new face of Salon Evangelene and represents us in our new commercial, now playing on Medina’s local cable network, HGTV, The Food Network, Lifetime and other popular channels.
Stylist: Amy Bammerlin
“Inherently gifted,” “with true experience,” “elegant style and dedication” are just some of the ways clients often describe Amy. Much to the delight of her customers, Amy’s quiet panache translates into her hair designs by reflecting a capacity for pronounced good taste and refinement.
After making it through the rigorous hiring process, Amy was one of the first new additions to the original salon staff of eight. Undaunted by the existing camaraderie, she joined their ranks in December of 2002 and quickly bonded with both staff and guests alike. Amy has been an integral part of the growth and prosperity that Salon Evangelene has enjoyed.
She has an aptitude for shorter, textured hairstyles and knows how to keep them progressive and contemporary—without going overboard. But she took a no-holds-bared approach with Ashley’s style, lending to the artistic beauty of this photo shoot.
The great part about the cut is that Ashley’s new look gives her an amazing number of styling options. It’s a look that’s perfect for the busy, fashion forward college student, mom or professional “real woman.”
Amy’s capacity for selecting a flattering hair color to complement skin tone and eye color is unrivaled. On Ashley’s naturally light brown hair, Amy deepened the hue to a shade reminiscent of the mystery of midnight.
The “tone” of the hair color is light reflective, enhancing the color of Ashley’s dazzling eyes. Amy then added texture, sculpted and refined the silhouette of Ashley’s haircut by using both the Kinetic Razor and ReActive haircutting techniques.
An aptitude for making consultations both comfortable and constructive is a key element to Amy’s success with the finished creation.
