Polaris Culinary School Sizzles in FCCLA State Contest

Polaris was the hot school this weekend at FCCLA state culinary contests. Here are the results, drum roll please!
Silver Medal Winner:
- Alex Sterba, Pastry Arts Event, (placed 7th out of 19)
Gold Medal Winners:
- Toni Tenn, Dining Room Attendant
(Placed 4th out of 19) - Lindsay Otterbacher, Garde Manger Event
(Placed 1st in the state)
Note: This is the first time the same student has won this event 2 years in a row! - Marianne Demarest, Jim Riggle and Jacob Scheuer, Junior Culinary Team
(Placed 3rd out of 18 teams) - Brittney Buzzard, Jessica Owen and Caitlin Colarusso, Senior Culinary Team
(Placed first in the state and advance to Nationals in Orlando, Florida!)
Words cannot describe the pride and honor I have for these students and all the students who have the courage to compete!
