Muddy Paws Trail Run

PENINSULA, Ohio (July 1, 2008) – Join us on July 12, 2008, for the only dog - friendly trail race around!Runners and their dogs will enjoy a 2, 5 or 10 mile trail race at the beautiful Pine Hollow Trail Head in Cuyahoga Valley National Parks.Runners will receive a T-shirt and goody bag.Proceeds from the event benefit the Humane Society of Greater Akron (HSGA).
“The event doubled in size last year and we are hoping for the same increase this year,” says Karen Conklin, Executive Director.“This is a unique event for runners because it is the only one that allows dogs.”The HSGA is excited about additional sponsors this year and hopes this will also increase the number of participants.Sponsors include Jake’s Good Life, Vertical Runner and Penney Realty.
The goal is to raise $5,000 for homeless animals living at the HSGA.Registration fees are as follows: 2 Mile = $15 pre-registered fee; $20 the day of; 7:30am START and 10/5 Mile = $25 pre-registered fee; $30 the day of; 8:00am START.
