Love and Football

Doogan’s of Aurora owners Tony Centanne and brothers Larry and Bob Mormino have worked hard to create a casual eatery that’s big on flavors and tastes, but easy on the wallet.
...the guys have a spectacular all-you-can-eat Super Bowl appetizer buffet planned. Think build your own nachos and more for just $10.
Love is never having to choose between your first love and your true love. At Doogan’s of Aurora, the Super Bowl XLIV Bash and Valentine’s Weekend are priced so low, you can afford to enjoy both.

Two significant events happen during the month of February: Super Bowl XLIV and Valentine’s Day. And they have more in common that you might think.
Whether you’re interested in enjoying a delicious meal in a casual, laid-back atmosphere for two, or you want to cheer on your favorite team in the company of other boisterous fans, at Doogan’s of Aurora you can do both—for less.
Super Bowl XLIV Bash!
On Sunday, February 7, Doogan’s will host what is destined to become one of the most talked about events of the season. Hold on to your seat because no matter where you’re sitting in Aurora’s new favorite sport’s themed dining destination, you’re perfectly positioned to catch every minute of the action on any of the enormous flat screen TVs.
In the private banquet room, which owners Tony Centanne and Larry and Bob Mormino have outfitted with a 10-foot projection TV, you’re going to feel every tackle, hear every call, and soak in the energy of the crowd just as if you were sitting in the stands.
And because Doogan’s is as famous for its mouth-watering menu items as its friendly, everybody-knows-your-name atmosphere, the guys have a spectacular all-you-can-eat appetizer buffet planned. Think build your own nachos and much, much more.
Purchase tickets in advance by calling 330-995-3331 or simply stop by the restaurant. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 on Super Bowl Sunday. There are about 120 seats available in the banquet room and this event is expected to sell out, so you might want to grab your tickets as soon as you can. Doors open at noon as they normally do on a Sunday, and the party starts about an hour before the game.
“We’re going to have many of our most popular appetizers available, and just as soon as one selection is gone, we’re going to replace it with a different selection to keep things interesting,” Tony promises. “You definitely won’t leave hungry.”
During the game, domestic draft beer is also available for just $1 a glass.
But if you’d rather enjoy the festivities from the comfort of the main bar, you can. Happy hour specials will be in full force and during the game every item on the menu is buy one get one—free. “That goes for the steak and crab, too,” Tony says.
Valentine’s Celebration!
Keep your Valentine celebration comfortable and casual. Doogan’s is celebrating all weekend long starting on Friday, February 12, through Sunday, February 14. Enjoy a four-course meal for two beginning at 5:00 p.m. for just $30.
And no, that’s not a typo.
Your meal includes a choice of appetizer, wedding soup or house salad, entrée and dessert, plus a free bottle of champagne. “We’re including a choice of prime rib and crab, chicken marsala, braised lamb shank, crab stuffed sole, or pasta alfredo with shrimp or chicken,” Tony describes. “All entrees, with the exception of the pasta, come with classic whipped potatoes and steamed asparagus. It’s a phenomenal value and we expect to be very busy all weekend. We’re strongly encouraging reservations.”
If a night for two without the kids isn’t in the cards, Tony says that’s fine, too. “We have a delicious kids’ menu.
The adults can enjoy the special and then order off the menu for the little ones.”
