Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 9340 Troop Donation Drive

Many people send items to the Troops at Christmas, but forget about the rest of the year.  Our Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 9340 will be collecting items for the troops between now and through the 4th of July holiday.  What better time than our nation's birth of FREEDOM and INDEPENDENCE to remember that show our troops that we support them. 

Let's show our service men and women we care!  Our soldiers are sacrificing their lives so that we can enjoy our freedom to come and go as we please and sit in air-conditioned homes, watch TV, shop, visit with friends and family.  We are able to do this without the fear of someone harming us.  Our soldiers so often have to make do with what little they have on hand.  There just is nothing like getting a packager from home to show that we do care, so let's do it.

The following are items needed by the Troops:  Disposable cameras, Word puzzle books, Travel-size games, Calendars, Magazines (no pornographic material or swimsuit editions), Books, Pictures, Stationery/pens/envelopes (no stamps), Powder drink mix (hot or cold), Tea bags/coffee packets, Cup of soup/ramen noodles, Granola bars/energy bars, Trail mix/raisins, Nuts, Candy/gum (wrapped), Dry cereal (individual servings), Fruit cups/applesauce cups, Fruit Roll-ups/fruit snacks, Peanut butter & jelly, Beef jerky, Seasonings/condiments, Cookies, Cracker Jacks, Popcorn, Baby Wipes (50 count), Kleenex (pocket size), Eye drops (0.05 ounce), Hand lotion (travel size), Chapstick/sunblock, Cough drops, Soap (hotel size), Toilet paper, Deodorant (1.7 ounce), Toothpaste (travel size), Toothbrushes, Dental floss, Combs/brushes (travel size), Shaving cream (travel size), Feminine products (individually wrapped), Disposable razors, Powder, Noxzema, Petroleum jelly, Bug lotion, Sunglasses, Ziploc bags, Fly strips/swatters, Dryer sheets, Air fresheners & Laundromat size laundry soap.  

Cash donations will also be accepted make all checks payable to VFW Post 9340 and mail to:  VFW Post 9340, 25742 Royalton Rd., Columbia Station, OH  44028.

There will be a collection box provided by PODS of Cleveland that will be located at the VFW booth at the Columbia Homecoming Festival-June 26, 27, 28, & 29th for you to bring these items up during the festival.  You may also drops off items at the Post any day after 1:00 PM.  We will be packing and shipping the items to our troops.  If you have any questions please call the Post at 440-236-8111.
