Ken McEntee


Ken McEntee has written professionally since 1984, first as an award-winning investigative reporter, feature writer and Cuyahoga County bureau chief for the Lorain Journal. In 1987, Ken co-created The Weekly Farce, a satirical “news” tabloid based in Cleveland, and Active Voice, a forum for free expression and exercise of the First Amendment.

Since 1990, Ken has provided professional writing, print communications and media relations services through The Write Company, and has published business trade periodicals through McEntee Media Corporation. He has been a contributor to Mimi since 2005, having written more than 700 Mimi articles as of October 2011.

Ken, who grew up in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, met his wife, Amy, in the marching band at Berea High School. They have two sons and live in Strongsville, Ohio.

Ken, a staunch advocate of small businesses, is a member of the Rotary Club of Strongsville, the Self Realization Fellowship, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the Greater Cleveland Partnership (COSE), the Strongsville Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Composting Council and the Central Committee of the Cuyahoga County GOP. Ken sits on Arts in Strongsville Board of Trustees.
