Give Me Back My Eyebrows
... makeup application is far less time consuming and is no longer difficult because the necessary corrective designs on the brows, eyes and lips are permanently done in a natural, beautiful way.
After Vickie McKenna discovered she had breast cancer on the day of her daughter’s rehearsal dinner, she underwent surgery and chemotherapy, which resulted in permanent hair loss. That’s when she sought out Master Interdermal Technician Jaudon Sunde—who gave her back more than her eyebrows.

In August of 2005 Vickie McKenna was looking forward to her daughter’s upcoming wedding. The months of planning were about to pay off with a beautiful, memorable ceremony.
While showering one morning, Vickie performed a monthly self breast exam and discovered a lump. That night she went for a mammogram; and on the evening of her daughter’s rehearsal dinner she learned she had breast cancer.
“I was a good thing I discovered the lump when I did,” Vickie says. “The cancer was already at a Stage 3.”
After her daughter’s wedding, Vickie underwent a mastectomy with reconstruction and chemotherapy. Like most chemo patients, the treatment caused her hair to fall out, including her eyebrows and eyelashes. She adapted by wearing wigs, but thought the penciled eyebrows didn’t look natural.
Months after her chemo treatments, Vickie’s eyebrows and lashes still didn’t grow back to a normal appearance. So she made a permanent decision.
She went to micropigmentation specialist Jaudon Sunde who created new eyebrows and eyeliner to make her lashes look thicker and more natural.
“Permanent cosmetics can do wonders for a woman’s self-esteem,” insists Jaudon, who has also performed hundreds of procedures to disguise birthmarks, various types of scars, areola complex, and other skin discolorations. “I want women who have undergone chemotherapy to know there are options.”
Jaudon’s procedures include permanent eyeliner, permanent eyebrows, permanent lip liner and full lip shading, as well as scar camouflage. “Our objective is to allow for convenience while maintaining a perfect, yet natural-looking image 24 hours a day,” Jaudon says. “After these procedures, makeup application is far less time consuming and is no longer difficult because the necessary corrective designs on the brows, eyes and lips are permanently done in a natural, beautiful way.”
Jaudon’s clients include those who have suffered hair loss as a result of cancer treatments. Permanent cosmetic procedures can also help:
• Anyone who desires convenience and
freedom from daily makeup application
• Those who are physically incapable or
having difficulty applying makeup
• Busy people with little time to apply
makeup
• People with allergies to conventional
makeup
• Nurses and employees who are not
allowed to wear makeup while in sterile
environments.
• Athletic people and those with oily skin
who tend to shed makeup easily
• Burn survivors and people with flaws in
their skin
• Men and women who seek correction of
asymmetrical facial features
• Those who desire to look their best at
all times.
“After a procedure, you will always look as though you are wearing ‘light” makeup,’” Jaudon explains. “The result is not only convenience, but often a significant boost in overall confidence and positive self-esteem.”
Jaudon, who lost her own mother tragically in 2001, reminds all women to remember their risk and to do monthly self-exams, annual doctor visits and annual mammograms after age 40.
