Mike Delguyd, 26, who ran five Bally’s Fitness Centers when he was just 21 years old, has leveraged his experience to launch Sweat 24/7, a new concept in personal fitness located on Rothrock Road about 1⁄4 mile south of Best Buy in Montrose. After touring fitness clubs in Tampa, Miami, Chicago, Las Vegas and L.A., Mike designed and built the gorgeous, two-story facility featuring an onsite salon, spa and café. He has combined a stunning country club quality ambiance with a relaxed, down-to-earth feeling. “A personal trainer meets you at the door for your first workout,” Mike says warmly. “We want you to be comfortable.”

Now, darling, let’s look at those excuses.

I don’t have time to exercise

As the name implies, Sweat 24/7 boasts secure 24-hour access, seven days a week. You can achieve a quality workout after the kids go to bed, before they wake up, or in the middle of the night when you can’t sleep. “The typical 5:30 rush is dispersed,” Mike says. “Our clients work out when it’s convenient to them, not to us.”
In addition, the onsite Pulse Café means you can enjoy a delicious wrap, smoothie or protein shake after your workout and get it all in on your lunch hour. “It’s important to take in protein within an hour of your workout to stop your muscles from breaking down,” Mike adds. “The café is a convenient way to do that.”

I don’t really know what I’m doing

Every membership level at Sweat 24/7 includes a number of personal training sessions to help you get off to a great start. In addition, 11 different trainers are available to assist you, including Mike who regularly works the floor helping clients. Plus, the top-of-the-line Strive Smart Strength training equipment is easy to use and features a patented, variable-resistance cam technology for dramatically improved muscle definition.

I get so bored when I work out

First, 24/7 is alive with warm colors, motivating music and plenty of energy. And in the cardio room you’ll find an army of Motus USA treadmills, ellipticals and more, each featuring a built-in flat screen television. “You don’t have to worry about being forced to watch a channel you don’t want to watch, or struggling to see the screen when you do want to watch,” Mike explains. And get this, a second dimly lit cardio room features a massive 72-inch flat screen with rows of treadmills. “Members love this room,” Mike smiles. “It’s like jogging inside a movie theater. You get a fabulous cardio workout while you catch a great film. No one can get bored in here.”

I get off to a good start, then I just stop going

Unlike many fitness facilities that want your monthly payment but not your presence, Mike and his team actually want you there. “We’re all about results,” Mike insists. “And you can’t get results if you’re not here. If we don’t see you for a couple of weeks, you can bet we’re going to call you and find out what’s going on. We want you here.”

I can’t find a babysitter

Sweat 24/7 features an onsite nursery seven days a week—Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to noon and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday 8-noon and 4-7; and Saturdays and Sundays 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sometimes I do better in group classes

Beyond Sweat 24/7’s leading edge fitness equipment, the club also offers a large workout room for a host of group classes, including Pilates, yoga, Group Power (body sculpting), kick boxing, Zumba (Latin dance), group cycling, Step, hip hop and more. “And there is no additional charge for participating in group classes,” Mike insists. “Everything is included in your membership.”

Rejuvenate Salon & Spa

In addition to its cutting edge fitness facility, the new Sweat 24/7 concept also features a salon and spa next door with an adjoining locker room that leads to both the fitness club and the spa. But Rejuvenate Salon & Spa is no ordinary hair salon. Co-founders Tracy Zwick and Susan Bell also own Studio MZ, one of Beachwood’s most popular salons for 14 years. “Our focus is on education,” Tracy assures. “Our stylists and estheticians regularly train in Europe, Las Vegas, New York, Chicago and L.A. We always offer the latest styles and the latest techniques.”

In fact, Rejuvenate stylist Leslie Yung is an international platform artist, who not only teaches nationally, she is one of the elite few who helps determine the styles for the upcoming season.

The new Rejuvenate Salon & Spa is so hot that last week Tracy and her team created new looks for all the incoming recruits to the Cleveland Cavaliers Dance Team.

The menu of services at Rejuvenate includes cut, styling, color, manicures, pedicures, and pre-and post-workout massages.
