With 11 plasma TVs, a 96-inch big screen, 25 different wing sauces and a host of menu items under $10, Sidelines Sports Bar and Grill gets you up close and personal to all of the game day action—without breaking the bank.

Our customers are not casual about their love of sports,” says Fletch Stevens, who along with partner Dave Harley, owns Brunswick’s Sidelines Sports Bar and Grill. “They’ve put the ‘fan’ in ‘fanatic.’”

Sidelines is a classic sports tavern decorated wall to wall with sports memorabilia. And because it’s loaded with TVs, this place gets you up close and personal to every big game—live. Mounted throughout are eleven 42-inch HD plasma televisions while an enormous 96-inch projection screen is located at the end of the bar. You don’t have to choose between taking in a NASCAR race and rooting for your favorite college basketball team during March Madness.

You get it all.

“We appreciate all of the customers and friends we’ve made in our first year of business,” Dave says modestly. “And we’ve responded to comments and suggestions that have made us even better.”

Unlike a typical sports watering hole, Sidelines is also popular with youngsters. “Families are always welcome and kids under 12 accompanied by an adult eat for free off the Little Leaguer Menu when they come in wearing a team uniform,” Fletch explains. “Anyone should feel comfortable enough to come as they are, relax and enjoy a great meal. Our menu always includes affordable daily specials.”

Delicious homemade soups—like Chicken Enchilada, Tortellini and Vegetable, and Creamy Potato—were added after several customers suggested them. “Speak up, we’re happy to listen to your ideas,” Fletch adds.

Fans can also enjoy any of the twelve beers on tap in a cold, frosted mug, or choose from a full selection of popular spirits like the $2 cherry or grape bomb. If Sidelines doesn’t carry your favorite beer, ask and odds are they’ll bring it in.

Either way, the value is hard to miss. “Our goal is to serve exceptional food and drink at very affordable prices,” Dave insists.

Burgers, wings, salads and sandwiches are cornerstones of the menu. And because the big game is more complete with a hearty tailgate party, Sidelines serves up juicy, authentic burgers. You can build your own at a modest additional charge for things like bacon and multiple cheeses.

Weekday specials include 35-cent wings on Mondays; any two sandwiches for $10 on Tuesdays; Wednesday is half pound strip night with two sides for just $5; Thursday’s offering is a homemade 12-inch pizza with one topping for $7; the famous Friday Night Fish Fry features Lake Erie perch; and on Saturdays the crowd goes wild for the slow-roasted full slab of barbeque ribs, for just $10.

If you’re a wing lover, you could spend nearly every night for a month at Sidelines and not have the same sauce twice. Of the 25 offered, the Cajun and Smokehouse are among the most popular. “Any member of our Get Sauced Club who eats all 25 of our different wing flavors gets a free hoodie,” Dave promises. There is a five dollar cost to join and membership is available at anytime. “All you have to do is put your order in and say, ‘Sauce me!’” Fletch encourages.

Sidelines is also a full lottery distributor and also offers Keno.

For team fundraisers, birthday parties and other events, Sidelines offers a spacious 200-person lower level free of charge. The dance floor and DJ booth mean that casual weddings and family get-togethers can include good food in a sports-themed atmosphere—at an affordable price.

“We are a neighborhood sports bar that serves great food,” smiles Dave.
