There will be two premier musical events taking place Northeast Ohio for readers to add to their social calendar. The tough choice will be which to take in.
The highlight event for the 13th annual American Music Masters series presented by the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame & Museum will take place on Saturday, November 15 at Playhouse Square’s State Theater. This once-in-a-lifetime concert features an all-star line-up of artists who will perform as a tribute to the legendary inventor and musician Les Paul. Inducted into the Rock HOF in 1988, Paul made his mark as a jazz-pop musician extraordinaire, recording as a duo with his wife, Mary Ford, such songs as “How High the Moon.” His innovations—the solid-body electric guitar, sound-on-sound recording and close miking—helped usher in a new era in recording. The Gibson “Les Paul” guitar has become a staple instrument among discerning rock guitarists.
The concert will feature Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees James Burton, Billy Gibbons and The Ventures, along with other notable artists including Lenny Kaye, Alannah Myles, Richie Sambora and Slash. For more late breaking announcements, visit www.rockhall.com.
