On Wednesday, Feb. 17, foreheads will be marked with ash crosses, a symbol of penance signaling the start of Lent. During the 40 days leading up to Easter, many people from all over Northeast Ohio will also fast and abstain from eating meat on Fridays.

Below is a list of local restaurants and non-profit organizations who are offering Fabulous Fish Fries and Specials that everyone can enjoy!


Cuyahoga County:

American Legion Friday Fish Fries - American Legion Post 421, in Fairview Park, will hold Friday Fish Fries during Lent.

German Central Lenten Fish Fries - Lenten Fish Fries are being offered thru April 9 at German Central, in Parma.

Grace's Grill Lenten Specials - Starting Ash Wednesday (Feb. 17) and every Friday during Lent, Grace's Grill in Parma will be offering our lenten specials!

Parma-South Church - Baked Fish Dinner - A Baked Fish Dinner will be offered on March 26 at Parma-South Presbyterian Church.

Pleasant Hills Lenten Fish Bakes - Pleasant Hills United Methodist Church in Middleburg Heights will offer Lenten Fish Bakes on Feb. 19, & 26; March 19; and April 2.

Pokrova Ukrainian Catholic Parish Fish Fry - Pokrova Ukrainian Catholic Parish, in Parma, will host a Fish Fry every Friday thru March 26.

St. Albert the Great Fish Fry & Fisherman's Wharf - Weekly Friday Fish Fry and Fisherman's Wharf - Feb. 19 to March 26, at St. Albert the Great in North Royalton.

St. Andrew's Friday Fish Fry Dinners - St. Andrew Church, in Maple Heights, will host Friday Fish Fry Dinners on Feb. 5 & 19, March 5, 19 & 26.

St. Andrew's Fish Fry & Pierogi Dinners - St. Andrew Ukrainian Catholic Church, in Parma, will host its annual Lenten Fish Fry & Homemade Pierogi Dinners every Friday during Lent.

St. Innocent Orthodox Church Lenten Pierogie Sale - St. Innocent Orthodox Church in Olmsted Falls will be selling pierogies at the church on Saturdays during Lent.

St. Joseph Church Fish Frys - St. Joseph Church, in Brecksville, is holding fish frys on all of the Fridays of Lent. 

St. John Neumann Fish Frys - St. John Neumann Church, in Strongsville, is once again sponsoring its five Fish Frys-Feb. 26, March 5, 12, 19, & 26.

St. Sava's Friday Night Fish Fries - Saint Sava Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, in Parma, will host Friday Night Fish Fries, Feb. 5 to March 26.

Soup's On at Strongsville United Methodist Church - Soup's On Lenten Soup Lunches will be served at Strongsville United Methodist Church on Wednesdays, Feb. 24 to March 31.


Medina County:

Bullies BBQ Lenten Specials - Enjoy Lake Perch and Pierogi Specials every Wednesday & Friday throughout Lent, at Bullies BBQ, in Medina.

Homerville Boy Scout Troop Fish Fries - The parents of Homerville Boy Scout Troop will be serving Fish Fry during Lent at the Homerville Community Center, in Homerville.

St. Ambrose Fish Fries - St. Ambrose Catholic Church, in Brunswick, will offer Fish Fries from Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17, to Good Friday, April 2.

Valley City VFW Fish Fries - Enjoy a Fish Fry every Friday, February 19 through April 2, at the Valley City VFW.


Summit County:

BayLobsters' Meals to Go - BayLobsters Fish Market, in Twinsburg, features Meals to Go Wednesday through Saturday, featuring Fish-n-Chips, Lobster Rolls and more.

Hudson's Restaurant Lenten Specials - Special menu items will be available at Hudson's Restaurant from Feb. 17 through April 2.

Mr. G’s Pizzeria and Wings - Every Friday, Mr. G’s Pizzeria and Wings, in Fairlawn, features an over-the-top, all- you-can-eat fish fry.

Peninsula United Methodist Church Dinners - Peninsula United Methodist Church will offer Fish and Pierogi dinners thru March 26.
