Other companies might say they are factory-direct, but we are the factory.

To benefit from the new energy tax credits, you have to purchase the right products. Oasis windows and insulation are qualifying products.

After more than 50 years of building top-quality sunrooms, Berea-based Oasis Sunrooms has become Ohio’s only manufacturer of both sunrooms and windows. Why the expansion into windows?

The answer is clear.

“Our customers wanted us to,” Marc Fox, the president of Oasis, explains matter-of-factly. “We’d often hear,
‘We love the quality and design of our new sunroom. We need windows. Do you carry replacement windows too?’”

Since the acquisition of a window manufacturing facility, the company has been able to proudly answer, “Yes, we have windows.”

Not only has Oasis added a new line of windows to their product line, they also offer attic insulation.

What do the two newest Oasis products have in common?

Both the energy efficient vinyl replacement windows and attic insulation can save you a roomful of money through energy savings. And both can qualify for the 2009 federal tax credit for energy efficiency.

“People are always looking for a company that does quality work at a fair price,” Marc says. “Customers know that they got that from us when we built their sunroom. Naturally, when they need other work done, they call a company they trust.”

Oasis is the retail division of Joyce Manufacturing, a family business that has been designing and manufacturing home improvment products since 1955. Today, Joyce distributes its products to home remodeling contractors in more than 30 states.

Oasis Sunrooms, Windows & More manufactures custom vinyl replacement windows and doors that fit almost any style home and budget. Combining innovative design and engineering with modern equipment and advanced technology, Oasis custom designs its windows with an abundance of options and accessories to provide the perfect match to any desired style or architecture.

“Some companies claim their windows are custom made, but in reality they have stock sizes and they try to fit their closest match into the opening,” Marc says. “We actually get a measurement and custom make each window to fit perfectly. Other companies might say they are factory-direct, but we are the factory. That means our possibilities are endless.”

Oasis’ windows are all vinyl framed, but they can be designed to simulate a variety of wood grains. “We can match any interior,” Marc promises. “We can also custom paint them any color you want—right in the factory.”

“What we offer is a really high quality window at a surprisingly affordable price,” Marc says. “Our new line of windows even comes with a guaranteed savings of 25% off your energy bill when you replace your whole house with our windows.”

In addition, the windows have lifetime warranties.

The U.S. Department of Energy says heat gain and loss through windows accounts for up to half of a home’s heating and cooling needs. Meanwhile, the Energy Department estimates, up to 34-percent of a home’s energy loss is through the attic.

“People know that energy efficient replacement windows can save money by better insulating their homes,” Marc says. “But what a lot of them don’t realize is that the second largest energy loss is through the attic. Attic insulation is a great way to save our customers money on energy consumption. Besides, a well insulated home is more comfortable and less drafty than a poorly-insulated house.”

That’s why Oasis is pairing its new line of replacement windows with its other new product: attic insulation. Oasis has chosen these two products because they will save customers the most money on their energy bills.
Since the insulation is blown into the attic, it can reach all of the hard-to-reach areas of the space.

“Most applications are done in a couple hours and will not make a mess or create dust in your home,” Marc says. “We use attic insulation that will not absorb moisture, does not support mold growth, and is fire resistant and non-combustible.”

Supplementing the money you will save by using less energy are the federal energy tax credits you can get for qualifying windows and insulation.

“Our insulation and many of our windows qualify for the 2009 federal tax credit of 30-percent of the cost, up to $1,500,” Marc notes. When you shop for replacement windows, he says, use caution.

“It’s important to know that all replacement windows do not qualify for the tax credit, even if they are Energy Star rated,” he says. “We have a concern for consumers who are unaware that there are rules of eligibility for the federal tax credit. We don’t want people to be unpleasantly surprised later when they can’t get it. We’ll tell you up front which windows qualify and we’ll help you through the paperwork to get the credit.”

Along with their new lines of windows and attic insulation, Oasis can add to your summer of fun with a brand new sunroom.

“The sooner you have your new sunroom installed, the more time you have to enjoy it this summer,” Marc says.

To get your projects started, you may call for a no-obligation free in-home estimate, or stop into the Oasis showroom. It is outfitted with a variety window samples and sunrooms. They are open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by appointment.

On Friday, April 3, from noon until 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, April 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Oasis will host a special showroom sale.

“We’ll offer on-the-spot pricing for windows and attic insulation, so feel free to bring in your measurements,” Marc says.

The Oasis Sunrooms showroom is located at 1125 Berea Industrial Parkway, off of Blaze Industrial Parkway, in Berea. Look for the Burger King on the corner of Bagley Road and Blaze Industrial Parkway. Don’t rely on your mapping software or GPS—they’ll put you on the wrong road. Call Oasis at 440-243-5700 ext.1 or 1-866-535-2900.
