We’re able to offer our clients direct access to the products and finishes that will ultimately go into their homes, instead of having them buy through a middleman.

While Justice & Company has created stunning interiors for area celebs, it’s homeowners on a budget who are truly benefitting from the company’s dramatic design solutions.

The Great Big Home and Garden Expo will be held at the IX Center, starting Saturday, February 6, through Sunday, February 14. Products and services offered by builders, remodelers, and designers from across the area will be prominently featured, but it’s the presence of one notable firm that will resonate among the crowd of attendees like no other.

Justice & Company has been hand-selected to contribute to two of the Feature Homes found within the show.
Featured in the Bob Schmitt home, is a luxurious master bath, a custom designed kitchen, and even a wine room which showcases a lit onyx wine bar. To add an element of surprise, Justice’s team created a vanity from twigs that serves as the base for a glass vessel bowl sink.

More custom elements will be showcased in the CMJ Development home—a hand crafted wood and metal staircase, an old world style kitchen, and a master bath with custom vanity and walk-in shower.
And while James’ unique artistic flair will be in full bloom at the show, it’s a visit to his Medina showroom that provides the greatest insight into his natural talent—and it’s open year-round.

Every square inch of the 15,000-plus square foot grouping of buildings highlights a different area of interest. No matter the project you’ve been dreaming of, James and his team have a creative approach to designing it.

“We have five designers on staff,” James says. “We’re able to offer our clients direct access to the products and finishes that will ultimately go into their homes, instead of having them buy through a middleman. We also can save them even more by having their project created completely in-house.”

Justice & Company can accommodate a full-scale bathroom or kitchen remodel, or simply add distinctive details to your home that will set it apart from the rest of the neighborhood.

“Many people think that because our designs are so unique, they’re out of reach for most budgets, but just the opposite is true,” James insists. “Because of our level of creativity, we oftentimes help homeowners reduce their costs by working with materials they may already have.”

For example, he says, a homeowner may wish to update her kitchen, but her cabinets still have a considerable amount of life left in them. James says that he and his team can create custom details in Justice’s on-site woodworking shop and pair them with, say, a stunning new granite countertop. “We can make the changes for a fraction of the cost of a complete kitchen remodel and the end result will look great.”

And when James adds a backsplash to a home, he doesn’t just stick tile on the wall and then call it a day. He says he loves to find ways to incorporate unexpected details, like the cast stone elements created on premises from molds made from vintage and found items of interest, or materials that typically serve other functions, like thin slices of tiger’s eye more commonly found in jewelry.

“Because we do so much of the creative work ourselves on-premises, we’re able to cut out one of the traditional links in the design chain—the middleman. It can mean significant savings to our clients,” he says. “We represent seven or eight trades alone, all of them employees of the company. But they aren’t just employees, each brings a unique level of creative vision to the team that you just won’t find at other firms.”

In fact, Justice & Company represents the most comprehensive assortment of talent, techniques, and finishes found anywhere in Northeast Ohio.

“Our goal is to provide our clients with a one-stop shopping experience,” James explains. “If you want to install an iron railing, we’ve got an entire room full of different shapes and styles of metal to choose from. If including a distinctive granite countertop in your kitchen will provide flair, we have a generous assortment of exotic granite from all over the world to select from. If you’re inspired by a particular texture, finish, or material, chances are we’ve got it.”

New to the Justice & Company offerings are the Karastan line of premium carpeting and an expanded selection of more than 250 hardwood flooring choices.

But pushing the envelope is where James derives the most pleasure. His new line of original, handcrafted pieces, entitled “Architectural Justice,” will make its debut at the Home and Garden Expo.

And each is more breathtaking than the last.

“These are the antiques of tomorrow,” James says of the museum-quality furniture and accent pieces he and his team have created, all incorporating various key elements that come with their own story.

“Almost every piece will include wood, stone, metal and glass,” he says of his new venture. “We’re using one-of-a-kind elements. When you purchase a piece from this line, you will get a card describing the process and the materials used to create each piece. It’s an amazing opportunity to own an item that will come with the history each element bore before we put them all together.”

Look for finished items from the Architectural Justice line, like the Live Edge Onyx Table, in the Innovation Avenue portion of the Great Big Home and Garden Expo.

One final note James shares,“We feel very grateful to our customers for giving us the opportunity to work and create great spaces for their friends and family to enjoy. The bottom line is our customers have trusted us to help them with their projects and for that we are truly thankful.”

Justice and Company’s huge selection of granite and other stone and architectural products may be viewed at 2462 Pearl Road, in Medina, six miles south of Strongsville. The showroom is open weekdays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The phone number is 330-225-6000.
