Rather than resorting to drugs or other forms of invasive treatments for the symptoms of fibromyalgia, we can provide other options.
If you aren’t getting measurable results from traditional medical treatments, it might be time to take a look at the alternative form of care provided by Ault Chiropractic of Hudson. Forget what you think you know about chiropractic care.

No two medical doctors are exactly the same. And no two doctors of chiropractic medicine are the same either.
At Ault Chiropractic of Hudson, Drs. Robert and Rebecca Ault, D.C. offer a unique approach to this non-traditional form of medicine. Take what you think you know about chiropractic and toss it. This husband and wife team is determined to change the face of their chosen profession—one patient at a time.
“A common misconception is that we are bone doctors,” Dr. Robert explains. “We’re actually nervous system specialists. An overwhelming number of studies support the fact that we can help relieve pain, headaches, disc herniations, high blood pressure and more. But we’re realistic about the kind of care we give. If you’ve got bacterial pneumonia, I’m probably not the doctor for you. But if you’re experiencing symptoms like stated above, I may absolutely be the doctor you are looking for. Rather than resorting to drugs or other forms of invasive treatments, I can provide other gentle, safe and appropriate forms of care. It’s our responsibility to find the right treatment for you. If I can’t help you then I will refer you to someone who can.”
“Just like your family doctor wouldn’t perform heart surgery on you, we only do what’s appropriate and necessary for our patients,” he continues. “If you aren’t experiencing the results we think you should be, the solution may not be in our office. But if you aren’t getting the results you think you should be with your other physicians, maybe the solution is in our office. It’s at least worth exploring another option.”
“We’re big on the outcome,” Dr. Rebecca assures. “After the initial consultation we explain right up front how long we expect to have to see you, how much it’s going to cost and what the expected outcome will be.”
“We are primary care physicians,” Dr. Robert provides. “We conduct a health history the same, we examine the same, and we diagnose the same. The only difference is in the treatment. We’re about finding and correcting the cause of the problem not just masking the symptoms.” A first visit to Ault Chiropractic of Hudson starts with a detailed health history, a thorough exam, and any necessary diagnostics including a surface EMG scan or x-rays. A surface EMG is a painless state-of-the-art method for measuring electrical activity in the muscles along the spine. Ault Chiropractic is one of the only practices in the area to utilize this technology.
“If you have neurological dysfunction, this test will find it,” Dr. Rebecca says. “Everyone knows we treat back pain, but if you are experiencing abnormal sensory input, it can trigger a myriad of symptoms—many of which have nothing to do with back pain— that can be addressed with chiropractic care.”
Here’s an example: One out of every 50 people will experience the symptoms associated with fibromyalgia, which include fatigue, depression, anxiety, TMJ, irritable bowl (IBS), facial pain and widespread pain in general. “Certain spots on the body (trigger points), when pressed, radiate tremendous amounts of pain,” Dr. Robert explains.
“People diagnosed with fibromyalgia typically have had widespread pain for more than three months, and 11 of 18 trigger points are affected.”
You can also have some of the symptoms—but not necessarily all of them. “Some patients are told it’s all in their head or that they’re exaggerating. They become afraid of the stigma because it’s so debilitating they’re often unable to work. This is a disease that affects the whole family. The patient’s quality of life is diminished and they become unable to perform daily activities,” Dr. Rebecca describes.
“We’ve had patients who have spent thousands of dollars on treatment for this disease and are at the point of just giving up. With specific chiropractic adjustments, we can give them their life back,” she adds.
Pearl Davis is one of Ault Chiropractic’s success stories. “I had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, TMJ, sleep apnea, hypertension, diabetes and severe incontinence,” she remembers. “I went to eight different medical doctors, three spine and pain clinics and three neurological specialists—nobody could help me. I also tried a number of different medications. As a result of my treatment at Ault Chiropractic, I am a new person. I no longer have pain and have even been able to give up using a cane.”
Dr. Robert and Dr. Rebecca are members of the prestigious Fibromyalgia Centers of America (FCA). It’s a group of physicians who collaborate to find the best practices for treating the disease. Ault Chiropractic was one of the only offices in Ohio asked to contribute to the group and the doctors are considered to be experts in providing treatment.
“We are trying to set the standard for what chiropractic care should be. We never guess with a patient’s health and we always do proper diagnostics to assess the bio-mechanics of the spine,” Dr. Robert says. “As a chiropractic physician, I wouldn’t perform a spinal adjustment without them.”
“Here, you aren’t a condition—you’re a person,” they promise in unison.
