DETAILS: Social Justice Awards were given to Marie Covington for her professional and civic accomplishments. Dottie Achmoody as CEO of Opportunity Parish Ecumenical Neighborhood Ministry (OPEN M) for all the families she has strengthened and enabled to become self sufficient. The fundraiser and award night was held in honor of Gloria Steinem’s 75 birthday. Over 50 business women and community leaders gathered to celebrate their own. A film of Gloria Steinem’s life was presented, and guests showed off creative and silly hats. Great fun and camaraderie was had by all.
