For the past 40 years, Weber and Son in Strongsville has offered repairs and service on everything from weed whackers to tractor-trailers. Here’s how owner Mike Weber’s preventative maintenance packages can keep your car, lawn equipment or RV running smooth all summer long.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of hassle-free summer. “By taking the time to service your lawn and garden equipment now, you’ll not only extend its life, but you could save money on gasoline costs, too,” says Mike Weber, second generation owner of the 40-year-old Weber and Son in Strongsville.
Mike is a Master Automotive and Truck Technician and is considered to be an expert in the field. He and his team of ASE certified technicians service just about anything that has a gas or diesel engine, like weed whackers, riding and push lawn mowers, cars, trucks, semi-trucks, buses, and RVs. And because Mike is a hands-on owner, most days you’ll find him working right alongside the rest of the team.
“Lawn mowers need to be serviced every year,” he recommends. And starting at $65, they’ll change the oil, replace the spark plug, clean the fuel system, clean the air cleaner, sharpen the blade, and clean the deck so it doesn’t rust away. “Lawn mowers can run economically, too,” he says. “If you service them annually, they’ll not only last longer, they’ll also use less gasoline and produce fewer emissions.”
Weber’s also offers pick up and delivery for lawn mowers in need of repair. That’s good to know in case you happen to be someone who just can’t seem to get that riding mower into the trunk of the car.
“We can do anything that doesn’t require paint—even re-decaling, re-roofing and repairing the appliances on RVs,” Mike says.
There’s nothing worse than getting sidelined during a summer road trip. Weber and Son is the only repair facility in Ohio that offers Axel Point Weighing for RVs. “A lot of RVs can’t safely carry their weight, or are over-weighted,” Mike explains. “The tires might be substandard and not able to handle the total weight of the RV. This can be extremely dangerous when you’re out on the road and could result in premature failure (a blowout). We can weigh the vehicle and determine if the tires are adequate or if they need to be replaced.”
They also restructure the roofs on RVs that are leaking or have deteriorated. “It’s a complex job,” he says.
“We basically rebuild them.” They can also perform intricate repairs on diesel engines.
“We’re really big on preventative maintenance. Breakdowns cost time and money,” Mike says. “Our job is to let you know what’s wrong with your vehicle and what it’s going to cost to fix it. If you know exactly what your vehicle needs, you can make an informed decision about whether or not you want to fix it now, or if you can afford to wait.”
But preventative maintenance can save you money at the pump so those dollars spent now could translate into an even greater savings later on. “Improper tire pressure and alignment, overdue oil changes, and dirty air filters all add up to one thing—more money spent on gas,” he cautions.
Oil changes at Weber and Son are just $27.95, and they service and repair every vehicle make and model—including hybrids. Appointments for service can be made online. “We’ll even send you maintenance reminders via email,” Mike smiles.
And because Weber and Son is a certified NAPA auto and truck center, every repair is covered by a national warranty, which means that if a part fails while you’re cruising the highways and byways, you’re 100-percent covered.
