Don’t miss Legend’s weekend-long St. Patrick’s party. The best-dressed leprechaun will win a $100 gift card.
By carving out a place in the hearts of local diners, Legends Sports Pub and Grille in Medina has quickly become the place where family memories are made every day. With a slew of weekday specials and a jam-packed calendar full of fun-filled events, anyone can get in on the action. And the sweetest part is, every kid scores a free ice cream with dinner.

Some local legends go way back. You may have heard of a guy called Cy Young, who won 511 games—more than any pitcher in major league history, including 36 victories for the Cleveland Spiders in 1892. And you’ve surely heard tales of Jim Brown, the best running back to ever carry the pigskin.
Other local legends are just getting started.
Two that come to mind would be LeBron James and Legends Sports Pub and Grille, Medina’s newest eatery.
Legends opened in November and has already become a dinner tradition for many local families.
“We are a sports pub, but we’re very family friendly,” relates Bonnie Bertsch, manager of the restaurant. “We have a lot of regulars who bring the kids in every week. They like it because kids can be kids here.”
And they mean it.
While the kids wait for the meals they ordered from Legends’ Little League Menu—all selections are $2.99—they might enjoy coloring pictures, playing games, shooting hoops on the Pop a Shot, or watching a kid-friendly video on one of the big screens. And when they’re finished with dinner, free ice cream awaits.
Legends is fun for the grown-ups, too.
Along with a menu loaded with appetizers, sandwiches, wraps, salads and All-Star Platters, Legends offers specials like the $5.99 lunch deal that features its famous half-pound burger with fries and a soft drink or beer. Those are the big steak fries—the real deal.
And every night, Legends has a different dinner special.
Mondays and Tuesdays are 35-cent wing nights. Ladies Night is Wednesday, and you can get prime rib with a salad and one side dish for just $14.95. On Thursdays, get a full slab of St. Louis style pork ribs for $9.99.
Legends has a choice of 12 sauces to smother them in. On Fridays, starting March 21, get all the beer-battered Pollock you can eat for $8.99. At Legends, they beer-batter their own fish—because that’s the way their hungry crowds want it. “We react to the feedback we get from our customers,” Bonnie says.
Saturdays the feature is a 16-ounce T-bone and a side for just $9.99.
On Sunday, get the all-you-can-eat spaghetti and meatballs, including a salad, for $7.99. And kids meals are half price–that makes them just $1.50 each.
Don’t forget to order dessert. For every dessert ordered, Legends donates $1 to a local charity.
The pub features 30 different beers, including nine on tap, along with plenty of wine.
Speaking of wine, on Wednesday, March 26, Legends will hold a wine tasting from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Australian-themed event will be hosted by the Hammer Group, Northeast Ohio’s top wine distributor, Bonnie says. The event will include drawings, prizes, giveaways and free hors d’oeuvres.
On Easter Sunday, Legends will give away three Easter baskets in a drawing at 2:00 p.m. You must be present to win.
And don’t miss their weekend-long St. Patrick’s party, featuring Fireball Entertainment and a pot-full of food and drink specials. The best-dressed leprechaun will win a $100 gift card.
It’s an event that’s bound to make history.
Legends Sports Pub and Grille is open Monday through Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and Sunday noon to 11:00 p.m. They are located at 925 Court Street (Route 42), across the street from Giant Eagle, and behind Pat Catan’s, in Medina. You can give them a call at 330-722-7676, or find out more at www.legendspubandgrille.com. If you’re out and about, you’ll find other Legends locations in Green, North Canton and Fairborn, Ohio.
